These days, bath bombs are all the rage. That is why when I saw this cool diy where you can reuse K-cups from Keurig coffee makers to make your own bath bombs, I was all over it! Recycle AND make yourself an awesome smelling homemade bath bomb!
You’ll need the all-plastic k-cups for this DIY. Clean out the cups, dump the left over coffee grounds out, and discard any of the netting in the cup. Fill the bottom of the cup with glitter or sprinkles or dried flowers anything you think would look cute on a bath bomb!
Ingredients:
- 2 Tbsp sprinkles or dried flowers
- 8 ounces baking soda
- 4 ounces citric acid
- 4 ounces cornstarch
- 4 ounces Epsom salts
- ¾ teaspoon water
- 2 teaspoons essential oil
- 2 ½ teaspoons almond oil
- 6 drops food coloring (optional)
Fill the bottom of each cup with glitter or sprinkles or dried flowers, anything you think would look cute on a bath bomb! In a bowl, combine the citric acid, baking soda, Epsom salts and cornstarch. In a separate bowl, stir together almond oil, water, essential oil, and food coloring. Pour these wet ingredients into the dry ones and stir together until the mixture begins to clump. Press the paste into the K- Cups and allow them to dry overnight. To remove the bombs from the cups, cut a slit into each cup and peel the plastic back.
Now go hop in the bath and try out one of your new fancy, homemade bath bombs! These also make great gifts.
XOXO, Chels
