Tea: Great for Your Body AND Beauty

Sipping on a cup of tea is both delicious and relaxing. It is also super beneficial to put on your body! There are a ton of ways to use tea to enhance both your skin and your hair, whether it is to heal, soothe, or even color! The best teas to use on your skin or hair are green, black, and white teas. The antioxidants in tea are what make it great for you. Here are a few ways to incorporate tea into your beauty routine.
- To calm burns: I burn my arm or finger almost every time I curl my hair. Beauty is dangerous! Steeping black tea bags in cool water for a few minutes and then dabbing the bags over your burns helps cool and soothe them. This method is also great for sunburns!
- To soothe eyes: If you have puffy eyes then cool green tea in the fridge, dip a cotton round in the tea, and apply the cotton to under your eyes for 10 minutes. Teas contain caffeine which helps constrict the puffiness.
- To rinse hair: If you want to stimulate hair growth and make your hair shinier, a tea rinse is what you need! Rinse your hair with warm tea after you shampoo it but before conditioning.
