Fall is still a pretty long way off, but it is never too early to start planning ahead. Did you know that your makeup looks can change and update throughout the seasons? Here is how to transition our makeup routines from summer to fall.
During the summer months, our skin becomes clearer because of the increased sun exposure. This means we can wear a lighter coverage foundation! We need to be wearing makeup with SPF in it during these months to protect our skin from damaging rays (and every month for that matter). Also, summertime is a great time to use bronzers to achieve a healthy glow and an easy contour. Eye makeup colors that are perfect for summer are golden and peachy colors. Great lip colors are sheer and natural hues.
Fall colors are all about warmth and depth. The landscape is changing, so our makeup should too! Burgundy eye shadows and natural smoky eyes are great looks. Also, metallic liners are a fun bold addition. Warm colors on the lips such as berry, plum, or warm pink are great to pair with those eye shades. Using light bronzer can help add a little warmth to your skin, and using highlighter can help brighten and lighten your complexion.
Each season gives you new opportunities to try new things. It is so fun to experiment with different color combos and shades! Let your creativity shine through and it will give you so much confidence!
XOXO, Chels
