Verses to Pray for your Relationship

When you are dating someone, it is important for Christ to be the center of that relationship. It doesn’t matter if you are in middle school, high school, college or beyond, having a Christ-centered relationship is super important. Here are a few verses to pray to strengthen your relationship, protect it, and to give you hope for the future.

1 Corinthians 12: 4-7 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. 

Ephesians 4:2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, baring with one another in love.

John 15:12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.

1 John 3:18 Let us not love with words or tongue, but with actions and in truth. (AKA, actions speak louder than words!)

James 1:19 My dear brothers and sisters, be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to get angry.

Proverbs 14:29 The one who is slow to anger has great understanding, but the one who has a quick temper exalts folly.

1 Corinthians 13:5 [Love] keeps no record of wrongs.
1 Thessalonians 5:11 Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as your are doing.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
