As most of you know, I live in a small town in Illinois. One of my favorite things to do in the summer is to go to all of the homecoming fairs and parades in my town and all of the small towns surrounding mine. My friends and I love to go together and ride the rides and eat all of the delicious food, especially funnel cakes! Funnel cakes are the ultimate summer fair snack. Here is how to make your very own funnel cake fries at home! These treats are a bite size twist on your everyday funnel cake.
Ingredients:
- Funnel cake mix
- 3-4 cups canola oil
- Marshmallow crème for dipping
Make the funnel cake mix per the directions on the box. Once you have a smooth batter, pour it into an empty catchup bottle for piping. Add an inch of oil to a large pot and heat it to 350 degrees. Pipe the batter in long straight lines into the oil and let it fry until it is golden, which should take around 30-60 seconds per side. Remove them from the oil and place them on a plate. Sprinkle them with powdered sugar while they are still hot. If you want, you can dip them in marshmallow crème! So yummy.
Enjoy this sweet summer treat with friends or whip up a batch for yourself! 😉
