In Illinois, summers are so hot they will melt your face off. Or, should I say, melt your foundation off. High temps are beauty products’ worst nightmare. Luckily there are products out there that actually help you stay cool! Don’t go splashing water on your face to cool yourself down, ruining your makeup in the process. Here are just a few life-saving products that will help refresh you so you don’t feel suffocated by your makeup in the heat!

1. Cucumber mist: Ever heard the phrase “cool as a cucumber”? Try a cooling cucumber mist when you are feeling toasty to help you feel fresh.


2. Cooling rollerball: There is a product called “Milk Makeup Cooling Water” from Sephora that will help soothe hot skin. Roll it on the warmer parts of your body like your underarms or neck before stepping outside to help you feel cool.


3. Use cooling sunscreen: Neutrogena has a product called “Fresh Cooling Mist Sunscreen” that protects you from the sun while also cooling your skin. Sunscreen that keeps you cool AND protected is a double win!
