Easy At-Home Ways to Detox Your Skin
Easy At-Home Ways to Detox Your Skin
https://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/chelsesa-crockett-Easy-At-Home-Ways-to-Detox-Your-Skin.jpg
Every day our face is hit with toxins and impurities, and this could be the culprit behind your most annoying skin issues! Toxins cause blackheads and pimples, plus they lower our skin’s ability to regenerate and make new cells which makes it look dull and dry. If you are having these issues, it means that it is time to detox your skin. Here is how to purify your complexion to make it radiant and healthy!
- Skin aromatherapy: Steaming your face with essential oils is a great way to detox your tired skin. Prep your skin with a hot towel that has a few drops of eucalyptus and peppermint oil to soothe and wake up your skin. Heat five cups of water, pour it in a bowl, and add some rose and jasmine oil. Then place your head a few inches above the bowl and cover it with a towel to keep the steam in.
- Stick to a routine: I know how tempting it is sometimes to just fall into bed without doing your whole face routine at night, but it is so worth it to stick to your routine to prevent impurities and toxins from getting in your skin.
- Do an at-home peel: Scrubs are great for occasional use, but using them all the time is too harsh on your skin. Peels improve the texture of your skin and treat acne, sun damage, and wrinkles! Peels utilize different types of acids in order to get rid of dead cells and promote new cell growth. There are tons of different peels for every skin type, so do your research.
- Use a salt and mineral mask: Yes, we need to get our skin a little dirty to detox it sometimes! Mud masks help detox by restoring pH balance and hydrating the skin. They also help improve blood flow to the skin.
These are all really easy ways to detox your skin right from home! Your skin will thank you.

Peach Makeup Looks This Spring
Peach Makeup Looks This Spring
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/chelsea-crockett-peach-makeup-looks-this-spring.jpg
This spring, peach pastel makeup is making waves! Shades inspired by fruit are going to be majorly popular in early 2017. Peach is trending right now because it is an easy shade to wear and is flattering on everyone! Here are a few of my favorite peach inspired pastel looks this spring.
- Eyeshadow: Peach eyeshadow is a sweet and subtle look. The light shades are fresh and playful.
- Blush: Peach blush adds a gorgeous glow to your face and adds warmth and friendliness to your skin!
- Lips: A peach lip color is a great sweet and sassy look. It is fun and feminine!
One thing to avoid when wearing peach shades is an orangey-peach color. Stay in the pink family. Choosing a more orange tone with red undertones can make your skin look sunburnt and irritated!

Healthy Green Bean Fries
Healthy Green Bean Fries
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/chelsesa-crockett-healthy-green-bean-fries.jpg
I crave French fries a lot. Like a LOOOTTT. Who doesn’t? They are salty crunchy goodness…mmm… What if I told you that you can get all of the delicious crunch and taste of a French fry, but in a healthier form? Introducing: green bean fries!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- Salt and pepper to taste
- ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1-2 pounds washed and trimmed fresh green beans
- ½ cup flour
- 2 large beaten eggs
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 425, then line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil. Spray the foil lightly with cooking spray. In a bowl combine the bread crumbs and parmesan cheese. Put the flour in a smaller bowl and place the beaten eggs in a separate bowl as well. Take a handful of green beans and dip them into the flour, then eggs, then bread crumb mixture. Make sure they are coated with crumbs really good! After they are covered, place them in a single layer onto the baking sheet. Put the pan in the oven and bake for around 10-12 minutes. Let them cool, then eat them up!
This makes a great appetizer or snack! If you are looking to impress your family with your mad cooking skills, make these for them! They are also a good movie night snack instead of junk food.

4 Prayers to Pray for Your Family
4 Prayers to Pray for Your Family
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/chelsea-crockett-how-to-pray-for-your-family.jpg
One of the most caring and thoughtful things you can do for your family is to pray for them. Whether you actually tell them you are or whether you keep it to yourself, praying for your family shows them that you deeply love them and that you care for them. It can bless you as well when you see your prayers for them being answered and when you see how God blesses their life because of your faithfulness! Your prayers can also help bring your family together and strengthen it. Here are 4 way
s that you can pray for your family.
- For a pure heart and mind: “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” – Proverbs 4:23. Pray that your family’s hearts and minds are guarded from the negative
influences and sin in the world. - For others to see God’s love through your family: “Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” – Matthew 5:16. Pray that your family’s example would point others toward God.
- For courage in the face of hardship: “Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” – Deuteronomy 31:6. Pray that your family will endure with courage through hard times. Be strong and courageous!
- For love: Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers a multitude of sins. – 1 Peter 4:8. Pray that each member of the family has a genuine love for others.
Hopefully these verses help give you an idea of how to pray for your family! God has so many blessings in store for you and your family in the future!

The 4-1-1 of Bible Journaling
The 4-1-1 of Bible Journaling
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/chelsea-crockett-bible-journaling-101.jpg
What is Bible journaling? Lately I have seen adorable photos on Instagram and Pinterest of artwork in the margins of a Bible. Now, I’m no Picasso, but I do enjoy coloring and drawing as much as the next girl. Bible journaling is using drawings or notes in the margins of your Bible to journal how you feel about the verses, how they are relevant to your life, or prayers regarding the passage. Most people underline or star things in their Bibles, but journaling is taking it one step further!
Do you need a new Bible to begin journaling? Absolutely not! All you need is your own Bible, a pen, and some colors. Also, don’t sweat it if you are not-so-artistically inclined. Your Bible journaling is your own personal art. If you are more of a writer, write in the margins. If you are a note taker, take notes! If you are a doodler, doodle your heart out! Use Bible journaling to write prayers in the margins and date them to come back and write when they were answered, write what God is speaking to you as you read the passage, write sermon notes, or even just thoughts on what you think the scripture is saying in your own words.
Bible journaling is a great way to enhance your quiet time with God. When you are inspired to remember a verse or point, draw or write next to the verse. It is so fun to look back through your Bible and see how you were feeling when you read something or how it spoke to you in that moment. It is also so cool to see how God answers prayers when reading the requests you dated in the margins!
I challenge you to become a Bible journal-er. I’m going to do my best to become one, too!

Do Less, Do More
Do Less, Do More
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/chelsea-crockett-do-less-do-more.jpg
How many of us have already let our New Year’s resolutions go out the door? I am raising my hand right now. I saw something the other day that I thought was a great alternative to the whole “New Year’s resolution” thing. It is a “do less, do more” list, and it outlines things that you want to do less of and more of. For every one thing you want to do less you have a contrasting thing you want to do more. Like for instance, I would like to drink less soda and drink more water. Here is a good example of a “do less, do more” list:
This, to me, is much easier than trying to stick to a list of resolutions. This is simple changes to what you have been already doing. It is swapping out something you want to do less with something you want to do more.
What’s on your list?

No Beauty Shines Brighter Than That of a Good Heart
No Beauty Shines Brighter Than That of a Good Heart
https://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/tumblr_nub3pkBr671uudyqzo1_1280.jpg
We have all heard the saying that “It’s not what’s on the outside, but what’s on the inside that counts.” And although we hear that a lot, we don’t always believe it. Especially in this day and age, where looks are everything. I want to tell you something: no beauty shines brighter than that of a good heart.
Having a good heart isn’t a quality that everyone possesses. To me, having a good heart means you care about and for others, you are gracious, you are kind, and you have pure intentions. When someone has a good heart, you can tell almost immediately when you meet them. Their personality shows it! People with kind hearts are refreshing to be around. They make you want to be around them and they make you want to be like them. Also, when your heart and personality is beautiful, it automatically makes you look more beautiful! Your smile will tell others the beauty of your heart. Try and show others the beauty that is in your heart. Show them the love that Jesus has shown you. It’s a game changer!

Flat Ab Foods
Flat Ab Foods
https://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/chelsea-crockett-flat-ab-foods.jpg
Flat abs are something that I think we all strive for. I mean, who doesn’t want a rock solid tummy?! Working out is only a small contributor to abs, believe it or not. As my high school PE teacher would say, “Abs are made in the kitchen!” And it is true! The food you eat has a huge impact on your body and your weight loss. Here are a few foods that help you in your journey to flat abs.
- Eggs: They are the perfect protein source! They have a great balance of essential amino acids that help build muscle, plus if you eat one for breakfast, you are less hungry as the day goes on! Less hungry = less snacking = less calories consumed!
- Apples: Apples are 85% water, which helps you feel full, and have 5 grams of fiber! This makes them an awesome midnight/midday snack! Plus, apples help promote healthy lungs and prevent some cancers, so an apple a day DOES keep the doctor away.
- Leafy greens: Leafy greens are things like kale, spinach, and broccoli! They are a great source of calcium which helps fuel your workouts, and help prevent cancer! Plus, they make great salads. 😉
Munch away!

3 R’s Bible Devotional
3 R’s Bible Devotional
https://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Chelsea-Crockett-Bible-Devotional.jpg
I always love finding new ways to read and study my Bible. Starting my day off with a devotional and a little Jesus time is my favorite thing to do in the morning! I found a new three-part devotional that focuses on a different psalm every day and allows you to create a small prayer out of each one. The three R’s stand for rejoice, repent, and request. Start by picking a psalm and reading it a few times through!
- Rejoice. First comes first, you’re going to pick out the parts of the psalm that revolve around gratefulness and rejoicing. Write down all of the different blessings that we can be grateful for and what we can lift up to God in thankfulness!
- Repent. Throughout each psalm, there are usually lines that talk about sin and things that we, as sinners, fall short of. Write down all of the things we need to repent for whether it be gossip, judgement, etc.
- Request. Take what you wrote down for the last two R’s and turn them into requests to God. What do you want Him to help you with? How do you want to learn from these things? This will turn into a mini prayer!
After you have your list, pray what you wrote down. Rejoice in the good things, repent your sins, and send up your requests to God. Try it out! :)
Love, Chelsea

The 3 Or 30 Exercise Rule
The 3 Or 30 Exercise Rule
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/chelsea-crockett-3-or-30-rule.jpg
It can be hard to find time to work out, especially in the winter when the days are so much shorter and colder! That is probably why during the winter months, we start to pack on a few pounds. Dieting is never easy, and spending hours at the gym just isn’t realistic, so I found a great realistic workout plan! I’ll explain.
It is called the “3 miles or 30 minutes” plan. It was created by a celebrity trainer! It is really simple. Every day you should either run or walk 3 miles, or if you cannot do that, work out for 30 minutes. 30 minutes of your day is nothing! This sort of plan helps you stay active during the week with little time commitment. It is easy to stick with this because you can easily do a 30 minute YouTube workout in your living room, or if you have time, go on a 3 mile walk or run! Trying to do crazy hard bootcamps or strenuous workout classes frequently may make you dread working out and may discourage you from it, so just try this “3 or 30” rule out!
If you are trying to lose weight, stay healthy, or maintain your weight, try out this rule for yourself! It is totally easy to do and will get you in the habit of working out every day!

Frosted Animal Cookie Milkshake
Frosted Animal Cookie Milkshake
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/chelsea-crockett-frosted-animal-cookie-milkshake.jpg
I love a good milkshake. The little kid in me is also loves frosted animal crackers. And sprinkles. This next recipe combines all of those…and it’s pink! Introducing, the frosted animal cracker milkshake.
Milkshake ingredients:
- 4 cups vanilla ice cream
- 1¼ cups milk
- 1 cup cookies
Whipped cream ingredients:
- 1 cup whipping cream
- 1 Tbsp. powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Topping:
- Frosting
- Pink food coloring to make frosting pink
- Extra cookies
- Rainbow sprinkles
Start the process out by making your whipped cream. Put your bowl in the freezer for 10 minutes, then add the ingredients and whip it with a mixer on medium. Then add the whipped cream to a pastry bag with a fancy tip. Next, color your frosting pink and add it to the rim of your glasses. Then put the glasses in the freezer while you make your milkshake. To make your milkshakes, add the milk, ice cream, and cookies to a blender and mix them on high. When that is done, take your glasses out of the freezer and stick cookies to the frosting. Pour your milkshake into the glasses, add the whipped cream and straws, stick a couple of extra cookies on top, and finish with rainbow sprinkles!
Enjoy!

My Favorite Neutral Eyeshadow Palettes
My Favorite Neutral Eyeshadow Palettes
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/chelsea-crockett-My-Favorite-Neutral-Eyeshadow-Palettes.jpg
Eyeshadow is usually a really important part of my makeup routine. How I do my eyeshadow depends on my outfit, my day’s events, and even my mood sometimes! The kind of eyeshadow you’re using is equally as important. You want your shadow to be opaque so that it shows up, you want it to be long lasting so it doesn’t wear off, and you want the palette to last you a while so you don’t feel like you are spending a ton of money because you keep running out. Another important factor to me is the shades offered in the palette. Every makeup lover needs a good neutral palate in their possession. Neutrals go wi
th everything and are a good “every day” look. Here are my favorite neutral eye palettes!
- Urban Decay: I love the Urban Decay “Naked” palettes. They are a little pricey, but they last foreevvvverrr. I’ve had mine for
2 years and it’s still going strong. There are 3 “Naked” palettes, and each has 12 natural shades that range from matte to shimmer and even glitter shades! They also offer palettes that are a little smaller and offer your basic neutral shades. - Tarte: I recently got the “Tartelette In Bloom Clay Eyeshadow Palette” from Tarte and I am obsessed! It offers 12 shades, 9 mattes and 3 lusters. What is so great about this palette is that the shadows are made with an Amazonian clay formula that offers great pigment, blendability, and long-lasting color.
- Too Faced: The Too Faced’s Natural Eye Neutral Eye Shadow Collection is also a great neutral choice. It offers your 3 most basic shades in larger amounts because you use them more often, which I think is genius, and has 9 other great neutral shades.
There are so many great neutral palettes, but these 3 are my favs!

Spring Nautical Style
Spring Nautical Style
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/chelsea-crockett-spring-nautical-style.jpg
I am a big fan of nautical fashion, especially in the spring time. It is so fresh and crisp! My favorite local boutique, MOD, has some super cute nautical pieces that I am loving, so that is what inspired this blog post! Here are my favorite nautical inspired looks this spring.
- Sweet and easy: An easy and feminine nautical inspired outfit
is a navy and striped t-shirt dress layered under a cute long cardigan. I love wearing dresses at every opportunity, so this is one of my favorite options. The sweater keeps you warm on chilly spring days, while the dress lets you feel like summer is on the way. Pair with cute rain boots on a rainy spring day! - Cute and cozy: For a simple yet stylish look, pair some white skinny jeans with a blue shirt and a long navy cardigan. The mixture of white and blue gives you a nautical flare, and the simple pairings are both cute and comfy.
- Fun and flirty: Where I live, spring can mean both warm AND cool temperatures. This outfit accomidates both! Grab your favorite pair of jean shorts and pair them with a long-sleeved, striped tee. Slip on a pair of white Converse sneakers and you are set!
These nautical looks will have you feeling ready to hop on a sailboat and sail off!

Best 3 Drugstore Contour Palettes
Best 3 Drugstore Contour Palettes
https://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Chelsea-Crockett-Drugstore-Contour-Palettes.jpg
Drugstore makeup is one of the most wonderful things. You can shop some of the best brands and products for an extremely low price! High-end contour palettes can range anywhere from $50 to $100 and, if you’re thinking what I’m thinking, that’s pretty expensive, especially when you can buy a similar palette for $5-$20! Here are 3 of my favorite drugstore palettes!
- Covergirl’s TruBlend Contour Palette ($12). Although this palette is super simple, it works so well! This palette comes in three different shades, light, medium, and dark, so you can find the perfect one for your skin tone. The color of each powder is extremely natural so they blend together for a smooth, professional look.
- Rimmel Kate Sculpting Cosmetic Set ($6). If you want a sharper contour as well as highlighter and blush, then this palette is for you! It’s easy to take with you on-the-go and has the whole package for a flawless makeup look. Did I mention it’s only six dollars?
- E.L.F. Contour Palette ($6). This palette gives you four shades instead of three! Each color is a cream and powder formula so it applies beautifully onto the skin and blends just as well. Once again, it’s only six bucks!
Have you tried any of these products yourself? Let me know what you think below!

3 DIY Ways to Spice Up Your Heels
3 DIY Ways to Spice Up Your Heels
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Chelsea-Crockett-DIY-Heels.jpg
When it comes to dressing up nice, my shoes are usually my favorite part of my outfit to pick out, especially when I’m wearing a fun pair of heels or wedges! Although I love rocking a simple pair of heels when I can, most of my pairs are pretty boring. I found 3 different DIY ways you can give your heels a stylish makeover! 🙂
- Use pretty ribbon that you can wrap around your ankle. Depending on the color of your heels, pick a color that compliments them. I suggest even using the same color ribbon as your heels to make it look more professionally done, instead of mix-match. Since it’s hard to explain without showing you an example, you can go off the picture on the right. Simply wrap it once around your heel, then around your ankle, and finish it off with a bow!
- Glue on glitter on the bottom part of your heels. Use a superglue paste to apply to the underneath of your heels and sprinkle on glitter until they’re completely covered. Let them dry and then show em’ off!
- As for thicker heels, superglue on various jewels and beads like the picture on the left. If you purchase a super strong glue to assure that the jewels will stay put, then you shouldn’t have to worry about them falling off! I suggest using different colors and shapes while still complimenting the original pair of heels.
Which DIY is your favorite? Let me know below which one you are going to try out for yourself!

Bible Quotes for Dating Couples
Bible Quotes for Dating Couples
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/b9fda2fa071c4c268fa6bddb72e09171.jpg
As a Christian, I strive to have God as the center of all my relationships, including my romantic ones. God’s word gives us great guidelines for growth and a great foundation for relationships and it outlines the core principals of godliness , purity, and unconditional love. If you are a believer in a relationship with another believer, these 4 verses are great to study in order to strengthen your relationship.
- Respect each other: Proverbs 22:1 says “A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.” This means that respecting each other’s boundaries, personalities, and thoughts gives couples the ability to humble themselves individually. This gives the relationship the opportunity to mature and for each person to give respect by demonstrating integrity, moral character, and devotion to God.
- Encourage each other to grow spiritually: 2 Thessalonians 1:3 tells us to encourage our brothers and sisters to seek Christ and to grow spiritually. This shows maturity in relationships and strengthens them. A couple who prays together, goes to Bible study or church together, or fellowships with other believers is helping each other flourish.
- Serve with each other: Hebrews 10: 24 says “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds,” serving together in the community or in church is a great way to use your spiritual gifts to further God’s kingdom, AND to grow your relationship!
- Pray for each other and for others: Ephesians 6:18 encourages us to pray for each other and for others, because when we do, we will experience a greater closeness to God and each other.
The Bible encourages us to be in relationships where we are equally yoked, which means of the same faith. Being in a relationship with someone who holds the same beliefs as you really sets you up for success, and gives you a sense of confidence that you are both on the same page when it comes to issues of purity and what you believe.

Recipe for the Perfect Messy Bun
Recipe for the Perfect Messy Bun
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/chelsea-crockett-perfect-messy-bun.jpg
Why is it that messy buns are harder to do than regular buns? The disheveled, effortless, “undone” look is way harder to achieve than people think. I wish I could look like I rolled out of bed with great messy hair, but I can never seem to get it right. Luckily I found a fool-proof way to get the perfect messy bun every time. Here is how!
- Pull your hair into a loose ponytail as high or low as you want. Don’t worry about smoothing out bumps or slicking your hair back, you want it to look imperfect.
- Separate the hair in your pony into 2 sections and tease them. Teasing is the key! It will change your bun game by giving you texture and volume.
- Take your 2 teased sections and wrap the hair in opposite directions like you are creating a topknot. Instead of pinning your hair neatly into a bun, pin bobby pins near the ends of your hair, leaving the ends splay out around the bun. This gives it the messy look! Pull the bun apart a little with your hands to mess it up even more.
The best part about messy buns is that they work better on dirty hair, so they work great on second-day hair, AKA you can sleep in longer instead of washing your hair! 🙂

Fun and Unique Valentine"s Day Dates
Fun and Unique Valentine"s Day Dates
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/chelsea-crockett-Fun-and-Unique-Valentines-Day-Dates.jpg
It is almost Valentine’s Day (yay!), and I am sure those of you who have honeys are trying to think of date ideas. You could do the normal Valentine’s Day routine of dinner and a movie, OR you could have a super fun, cute date that you will never forget! Here are 3 adorable date ideas for this Valentine’s Day.
- Indoor picnic: where I live, it is hardly picnic weather. It is too cold for that! As a fun alternative, have an inside picnic! Make PB&J sandwiches or finger foods, lay out a blanket, and have a fun little picnic in the living room.
- Waffle bar: have a waffle bar dinner! Lay out a bunch of waffle toppings like fresh fruit, whipped cream, chocolate chips, syrup, and jelly! Make waffles together and then top them with all of your favorites.
- Ice skate date: the best part about ice skating is getting to hold hands with your honey! Bundle up and head to the skating rink for a fun night of slipping, falling, and laughing at and with one another.
Happy Valentine’s Day to you and your boo!

Cake Batter Cookies
Cake Batter Cookies
https://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/chelsea-crockett-cake-batter-cookies.jpg
Are you on the lookout for a yummy late night snack or sweet treat recipe? I’ve got you covered. Here is the delicious recipe for cake batter cookies! They will have you smiling from ear to ear and will have your taste buds wanting more.
Ingredients:
- 1 ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 ¼ cup vanilla boxed cake mix
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ¾ cup unsalted, softened butter
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 egg at room temperature
- 1 ½ teaspoons vanilla
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- ½ cup sprinkles
In a big bowl, sift the flour, cake mix, and baking soda together. Set that aside. Then, use a mixer to cream the softened butter and both sugars together on medium until it is smooth. Then add in the egg and mix it on high for 1 minute. Scrape the sides down and add the vanilla, then beat it on high until combined. Add the flour mixture and mix on low-medium speed until combined. Add the chocolate chips and sprinkles and mix together. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and put in the refrigerator for 2 hours. Preheat the oven to 350 and line two large cookie sheets with parchment paper. Scoop rounded balls of the cold dough onto the baking sheet and press a few chocolate chops into the tops. Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are slightly browned. Allow them to cool on the baking sheet for 4 minutes then transfer them to a wire rack to cool.
Grab a cold glass of milk and enjoy!

Sweet and Easy Bff Valentine"s Day Gifts
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/chelsea-crockett-Sweet-and-Easy-Bff-Valentines-Day-Gifts.jpg
Even if you don’t have a boyfriend this Valentine’s Day, you can still show your bff’s some love! This “love day,” show the gals that have always been there for you how much they mean to you with simple gifts that say “you’re important to me.” Here are some inexpensive and thoughtful gifts for your gals.
- Gummy bears: Gummy bears are a fun and yummy treat, and add a “life is un-bearable without you” note to the bag and you have a cute and easy gift!
- Lifesavers: I love Lifesaver candies. Fill a mason jar with Lifesavers and tie a ribbon around the top. Attach a note that says “You are a Lifesaver. Thanks for being a great friend!”
- Red or pink nail polish: Give a gift that keeps on giving! Nail polish is something that your gals can use over and over again, so get them a red or pink for Valentine’s Day!
- A customized mix tape: Nothing shows you care more than a customized mix tape! Put all of the songs that make you think of them, songs you both love or have rocked out to in the past, songs that were “your songs,” or just songs that you think they would like!
Happy Valentines Day to you and your gal pals.

3 Ways to Make Money Off Your Old Clothes
3 Ways to Make Money Off Your Old Clothes
https://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Chelsea-Crockett-Old-Clothes.png
Making money is always nice, right? Especially if all you have to do is get rid of some of your old clothes! There are several different apps and organizations that are perfect for making a little cash off of clothes you don’t wear or need anymore. If you’re interested, keep reading to find out how! 🙂
- Consignment Shops. If you have nicer clothes and accessories that you never use anymore, such as designer or high-end brands, you can sell them to these shops for a pretty decent profit! They’ll then resell it for a higher price, but at least you get a good amount of money back.
- Plato’s Closet. If you have tons and tons of clothes you want to get rid of instead of just a single item, you can take boxes full of clothes to Plato’s Closet and see what they’ll take off your hands. Sometimes they’ll send back a lot of what you’re trying to drop off, but other times you’ll make a pretty good profit off of it.
- Poshmark. If you’re looking to both sell some items and purchase some for yourself, Poshmark is the app for you. You can pick your selling price or even trade other sellers for items you’re interested in like the picture on the right. You might as well check it out!
I hope this helps you declutter your closet and make some money at the same time!

Sephora is one of my go-to places when it comes to buying makeup. It has one of the best selections of my favorite brands and products! So far in 2017, there’s already a list of best-selling products that have been super popular in stores. Here are the top five from last month so you can give them a try, too!

- Becca Soft Light Blurring Powder ($38). It can be hard to get the perfect texture and tone after applying your makeup. This powder helps to smooth out any blemishes or uneven texture.
- Ouai Dry Shampoo Foam ($28). Different from other dry shampoo sprays, this foam leaves your hair with added volume and texture than before! Sprays can sometimes add to the greasiness of your hair, but with this light formula you don’t have to worry about too much product.
- Bumble and Bumble Surf Foam Spray Blow Dry ($31). A two-in-one foam spray? Count me in! This product gives your hair all the texture and volume you could want.

Prom Prep: DIY Ways to Break-in Your Heels
Prom Prep: DIY Ways to Break-in Your Heels
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Chelsea-Crockett-DIY-Ways-to-Break-in-Your-Heels.jpg
Prom season is right around the corner and it’s never too early to start prepping for it. Not only is it a priority to look good on prom night, but to be comfortable, too! I’d say the most painful part of the prom process is wearing heels for hours during pictures, dinner, dancing, etc. I found a few DIY ways to break-in your heels that’ll make wearing them all night a piece of cake!
- If your heels are too tight, stretch them out using ice! Fill up two freezer bags with water and seal them tightly. Place the bags in your heels then put them in the freezer until the water freezes. Then, take out your heels and let the ice thaw until you can slip out the bags. Your heels should be much looser and comfier!
- Speaking of making your heels more comfortable, using heat to stretch out the material is your best bet! Take a blow dryer and blast your shoes with hot air, then bend and twist your shoes while they’re still warm to loosen them up!
- One of the worst parts about wearing new shoes is the possibility of lots of blisters… Yikes! As weird as this might sound, try rubbing deodorant on the places on your foot where you might blister. This will provide a small barrier to prevent any rubbing!
- When you get a new pair of heels, the bottoms of them will most likely be slippery. Take sandpaper and rub the bottom of your shoes with it. It’ll give them a little grip and friction!
Which DIY are you going to try out? I hope it helps! 🙂

Sneakers Style
Sneakers Style
https://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/chelsea-crockett-sneakers-style.jpg
I am a fan of comfortable fashion. That is why I am so grateful for cute sneakers! They can take any casual outfit and spruce it up. Here are 3 of my favorite casual sneakers and how I style them.
- Suede slip-ons: These are a trendy type of sneaker. I love that they have both a casual and chic feel to them. Pair these with some cuffed skinnies and a chunky sweater under a leather moto jacket for a effortless, casual look.
- Converse: There is nothing more timeless than a pair of Converse. They are incredible versitile and can be worn with just about anything!
- Sweet and sporty: This is part of the “athleisure” trend that I love. It combines trendy athletic pieces together to make a sporty yet cute ensemble. Wear a pair of cute athletic sneakers with jeans and a chunky sweater to create a both sporty and trendy look.
What is your favorite style of sneakers?

Tips on Forgiving and Moving On
Tips on Forgiving and Moving On
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/chelsea-crockett-tips-on-forgiving-and-moving-on.jpg
Carrying around resentment and anger is so unhealthy. It is hard to forgive someone who did you wrong, but forgiveness is a powerful thing. Forgiveness is accepting what happened, acknowledging your feelings, and then letting them go. Forgiveness isn’t just for the person who hurt you, it for yourself too. Here is how you know you are ready to forgive and how to do it when the time is right.
- Forgive yourself and let go: Give yourself time to release all of the emotions you are feeling and recognize when you are ready. Next, understand that it is ok to feel shame or embarrassment or shame because of what happened. Then forgive yourself. Realize we all make mistakes and that no one is perfect.
- Talk it out: It doesn’t have to be out loud. Talk through the whole thing in your head. And next time you see the person who hurt you, you don’t have to verbally say “I forgive you” because that may just be plain awkward. You can show them you have forgiven them by your actions instead. But then again, sometimes it is good to verbally talk things through. It may make you feel better if you are able to communicate your hurt to the person but at the same time let them know you have moved past it. It really depends on you and the situation!
- Know the boundaries: Forgiving the person doesn’t mean things are going back to the way they used to be. That may take time, or it may never happen. Setting boundaries like limiting the amount of time you spend with that person, or avoiding certain situations that you know could be trouble is wise. Avoid falling back into the cycle that caused the hurt and know how to avoid it.
Forgiving someone takes a lot of humility and it takes a strong person. It isn’t easy, but it is so worth it.

Winter Scallop Fashion
Winter Scallop Fashion
https://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/chelsea-crockett-winter-scallop-fashion.jpg
I love experimenting with different fashion statements and styles. I love styles with a southern flare, so naturally I am a fan of scalloped fashion. It has a sweet and feminine accent that can add a girly touch to even the simplest ensembles.
- Collared shirt: Button-up shirts with a scalloped collar are so sweet and versatile. You can wear them tucked in to a pair of jeans or a skirt, or you can even layer them under a cute sweater for a more dimensional look.
- Pea coat: The best way to showcase this trend is in outerwear! Layer a sweet scalloped pea coat over a simple ensemble for a cute winter outfit.
- Booties: I love scalloped booties because they are a really subtle way to rock the trend. They are sweet and feminine and add a cute touch to the simplest of outfits.
What is your favorite scalloped accessory?
