When the weather heats up, that’s when my sea salt spray comes out from its winter hiding place under my sink. Beachy waves are a spring and summer hair staple. Have you ever wondered, though, if these sprays are good for our hair? Let’s get to the bottom of the question. The answer is: it depends on what ingredients are in the spray. You need ingredients that counteract the drying effects of salt. Here are some great salt spray formulas that keep your hair healthy and stylin’ at the same time.
- Aloe Vera: Salt sprays with aloe vera in them give you gentle waves and nourish your strands!
- Coconut Water: Coconut water is a great addition to salt sprays! It gives your hair a bounce and lift.
- Lavender: Having lavender in your salt spray ensures your hair will not only smell awesome, it also protects your strands from drying!
- UV Protection: It is important to protect your hair from the elements, so use a salt spray that gives you UV protection AND awesome waves!
Find a salt spray that has one or a combination of these ingredients for great looking AND healthy hair!
