Tips on Letting Go: It"s Not Easy!

As teenagers, we deal with a lot of letting go. You might have to say goodbye to someone who was once a best friend or a boy who isn’t good for you anymore. I can tell you from personal experience, it’s tough! It will never quite be easy, but here are things you can do to lighten the toll it can take.
First off, when you’re done with something, solely be done with it, especially when it comes to boys. It’s usually not a good idea to text or hang out with someone you’re trying hard to get over. Seeing and talking to them will only make you miss them more. You need to know life without them or else you won’t be able to move on. Of course a “how have you been” text occasionally is okay, but talking to them 24/7 can become a hard habit to break.
When we see people drifting away, we often cling onto them because we aren’t used to life without them. You need to realize when a person is toxic in your life. Ask yourself, “does he or she make me a better person?” If you find yourself not being able to answer this, then nine times out of ten the answer is no. This should be a red flag! Realize your worth and that you can walk away from these situations.
You may be reading this and thinking “it’s not that easy” and I know it’s not. But once you realize the strength you have to do these things and finally let go, your life will become less stressful and more enjoyable. Praying about it and trusting that God will help you move on is another easy suggestion that will make all the difference. Trust me!
