It’s easy to get caught up in all the hype of the holidays.  Heaps and heaps of food, chocolate bunnies, family, and friends are all part of the Easter experience.  Big family dinners and parties are fun, but unfortunately, too many families celebrate Easter without thinking about the true reason for the season…Jesus!

The Easter bunny may be the symbol of Easter, but it is not why we celebrate it.  We celebrate Easter to glorify the resurrection of Jesus!  Three days after Jesus died on the cross for our sins, he rose again to promise everyone everlasting life.  That’s pretty amazing, right?  Whether you’re attending an Easter party or having a big family brunch, do not forget about what Jesus did for us.  Thank Him for the amazing mercy he had for all of us!
