I am 99% sure most of us are at least a little bit aware of what contouring is. For those who are maybe a little unsure of what it is all about, it involves tons of shading and highlighting using different makeup products to accentuate the curves and lines of your face. Contouring can totally transform your face and change your look. But… it is so darn difficult to do! It takes tons of work and lots of practice to get it down. Let’s face it, we have all tried to contour our faces, only to get half way and look like a clown and give up.  So, what if you want a sculpted face but do not have time (or motivation) to contour? Introducing: strobing.

Strobing is a new kind of contouring that takes a fraction of the time and effort. Instead of using a darker color and a lighter color to shade your face with makeup, all you use is highlighter. Apply it to the center of your forehead, under your eyebrow bone, your chin, the inner corner of your eyes, and the tip of your nose. It brightens up your face and takes much less work (aka it is harder to mess it up)! You can use a dewy, sheer highlighter or you can make it super easy on yourself and use a highlighter stick. Just find a window and use a mirror to see where the sun naturally hits on your face. Then use highlighter on these spots.
