During the winter months, sinus infections wreak havoc on so many of us! Stuffy noses are the absolute worst! If you are looking for a way to breathe easier and get some sweet relief, try out these homemade shower soothers! You put them in the shower with you while you bathe and they help clear you right up! Plus, they are much better for you than the store bought ones. And much cheaper!
Ingredients:
- About 1 1/2 cups of baking soda
- About 2/3 cup of water
- Essential Oils: Rosemary, Lavender and Eucalyptus
Before getting started, preheat your oven to 350F. Add the baking soda to a mixing bowl and slowly add in the water. Your mixture should look a little like pancake batter! Stir together, then scoop your mixture into muffin tins that have paper muffin liners in them, one tablespoon per muffin hole. Place the muffin tin in the oven for 20 minutes, then remove them. Add a few drops of each essential oil to the discs and let them cool completely. Once they have cooled, pop them out of the muffin tin and store them in a plastic bag. Toss one in the shower next time you are feeling stuffy and prepare to be amazed!
