Neck Contouring: It is Really a Thing

I thought I had seen it all when it comes to makeup, but I was wrong! Today we will discuss the new trend of “neck contouring.” It is exactly what it sounds like, people are contouring their neck!

Why would they take the time to do this? To accent an updo, of course! When you have your hair up, the back of your neck is exposed, and contouring it accents the hairstyle by shadowing and highlighting the nape of your neck! Instagrammer “mwhairstyles” demonstrated this in one of her videos. Some people may think that contouring the back of your neck is total overkill and totally unnecessary, and I partially agree with them! I also think that makeup is art, and that people should be able to express them artistically through makeup. If they want to use their artistic abilities to make their neck look slimmer, more power to them! 😉 My worry would be…all of that makeup is going to rub off on my skirt! Yikes!
