What to Wear to Your Boyfriend"s Thanksgiving...

Do you have a boy toy? Whether you have been dating for 3 months or 3 years, going to his family get-togethers can be nerve wracking, am I right? You want to impress them and make them like you. Well my friends, today I am here to help you pick out the perfect “impress his parents and grandparents and aunts and uncles and cousins” outfit!

Some important things to consider are comfort, modesty, and the setting. When you are comfortable and confident in what you are wearing, it shows! This also goes with the modesty factor. You want to dress modestly to show what a mature, respectable, classy young lady their beloved son/grandson/nephew/cousin is dating! When I say the setting I mean this: is his family a more casual group or do they dress things up at get-togethers? You might want to ask him (or probably his mom) what kind of attire is the norm at their family holiday get-togethers.

Here are some outfit suggestions:

Casual: If they are more of a “jeans and t-shirt” kind of family, then wear a casual pair of dark skinnies, a cute sweater and scarf! Totally adorable, nice and cozy and casual!

Middle: If they are sort of an in-between casual and dressy kind of family, then I would go with black skinnies and a nice blouse and flats, or black skinnies and a sweater poncho and booties, or my personal favorite, black skinnies, tan booties, a nice cream colored blouse, and a faux fur vest!

Dressy: If they are a classy, dressy family then I would wear tights and a dress or skirt, a nice sweater or blazer over it, statement jewelry, and neutral makeup. The neutral makeup tip goes for all of the outfits, don’t go crazy with the eye shadow or lip color. Subtle is best when around your BF’s fam!

I hope these tips help ease a little bit of the “meeting the fam” nervousness! Don’t you worry, they are going to LOVE you.
