Buying a new pair of heels is always exciting… shoes are a girl’s best friend (or is that diamonds?). Walking in your heels for the first time is always grueling. You can pretty much expect blisters and a sore arch. So what do you do when you know you have to wear your new heels for a long period of time, but haven’t broken them in yet? Check out the steps below.
- Slide into a pair of thick or fuzzy socks and grab a blow dryer. Try on your heels with the socks and blow dry them on high heat for 2-3 minutes. Wiggle your toes around to stretch the tip of the heel. This will allow your toes to have more room!
- Another way to utilize socks is to throw on a damp pair and walk around with them on in your heels. This will soften and stretch out tight heels. Walk around for a good 20 minutes.
- Be sure to scuff up the bottom of your heels before leaving the house! This way, you’ll have a better grip when walking and are less likely to fall.
If you follow these simple steps, you’ll be on your way to looking fabulously pain free!
XOXO,
Chelsea
