DIY hot coconut oil mask

During the summer, my hair can take a beating. From swimming pools with tons of chemicals to hot humid days and sun damage, you are lucky if you come away from summer with even remotely healthy hair. One way to make sure your hair survives the summer is to do hot oil treatments. Here is my fav!
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon honey
Warm these two ingredients on the microwave and then massage them into your hair. I like to use a plastic squeeze bottle to squirt it into my hair. Then I put a shower cap on my hair and then make a towel turban around it. Let the mask sit on your hair for about 15 minutes, and then thoroughly rinse out the oil and use shampoo to wash your hair. Make sure to wash alllll of the remaining oil out, you don’t want any grease left in there!
If you do this mask about once a week this summer, your hair will THANK you!
XOXO, Chels
