My favorite part of Spring is all of the fun Easter candy that comes with it! Especially delicious chocolately peanutbuttery Reese’s Eggs! Here is how to make these heavenly goodies all by yourself!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup peanut butter
- ¼ cup unsalted butter
- 8 ounces dark coca melting chips
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 ¼ cup powdered sugar
- Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and set it aside. In a saucepan, combine your peanut butter, vanilla, and 1 cup of powder sugar over medium heat and stir until it is all melted and bubbling a little.
- Remove the pan from heat and stir in the rest of the powdered sugar and stir until it is all completely combined. Set it aside and let it cool until it is room temperature. You need to chill the mixture in the fridge because it will make it easier to roll into the shape of eggs.
- Shape the dough into flat oval shapes and place them on the baking sheet. Freeze them for an hour or so. Melt the chocolate in the microwave until it is completely smooth and melted. Using forks, roll each egg in the chocolate and then place them in the freezer to let the chocolate harden.
Store them in the fridge and then get them out when you want to serve them! They make great Easter party goodies or awesome additions to any Easter basket.
Enjoy!
XOXO, Chels
