Being friends with your ex can be a really great thing. It can also be a really hard thing to achieve! Here are a few pointers to help you become friends with your ex.

1. Make sure that you tow are really interested in being just friends. If you want to start a friendship with an ex with hopes of getting back together, then you are not ready to be friends. Take some time to really think about if you are really ready to be just friends. An easy way to see if you are ready is to ask yourself how you would feel if you heard that your ex was dating someone new. If the thought makes you mad or insanely jealous, then you are not ready!

2. Don’t rush. You may be eager to see your ex again, but keep in mind that you may still have feelings for them and feel emotionally tied to them. Wait to begin a friendship until your emotional feelings have lessened.

3. When you finally do start to hang out with your ex, dress appropriately. You want to look good in front of your ex, but you also don’t want to send the wrong message! Also, when you do meet with your ex, do so in a public place so that you can avoid awkward moments alone!

Like I said, being friends with your ex can be good! You just need to know the right way to go about it.
