Why is face primer such an important part of our beauty regimen? Primers can refine texture, color-correct your complexion, minimize fine lines and pores, and serve as a 24-7 binding agent to keep your foundation in place!

Think of face primer in the way you would think of painting a house. I know, sounds weird, but stay with me. When you are painting your house, you first paint on a coat of primer so that the house can look its best when it is fully painted. Same goes with our faces! You want to prime your face for your makeup so you can get the best result possible! Primers are good for everyone, from those with oily skin to those with dry skin. Primers can moisturize your skin, even it out, and help acne prone skin. Choosing the right primer is all about trial and error. You want something weightless, that doesn’t clog your pores, and gives your skin the right texture. If you have discolored skin because of acne or a skin condition, primer is your buddy. Color-correct your skin by using a light purple primer if you have sallow toned skin, green primer if you have red-ish skin, and subtle pink if you have a dull complexion.
