How To Be A Proverbs 31 Woman

As a young woman growing up in church, you always hear about growing up to be a “Proverbs 31 woman.” Proverbs 31 tells us all of the qualities that a good wife/mother/woman should have. It is like a handy dandy life guidebook for girls! When you break down Proverbs 31 and translate it into 2014 teen girl language, there is some really useful advice in there! Here are a few helpful verses broken down into our language.

Proverbs 31:15- “She rises also while it is still night and gives food to her household and portions to her maidens.” Interpretation: Get up early and have morning time with God. This gives you time to prepare yourself spiritually but also physically.

Proverbs 31:20- “She extends her hand to the poor, and she stretches out her hands to the needy.” Interpretation-

have a servant’s heart. Give your time and energy and finances to others.

Proverbs 31:25- “She clothes herself in strength and dignity and smiles at the future.” Interpretation- Be positive! All the time J

Proverbs 31: “She opens her mouth in wisdom, and the teachings of kindnesses on her tongue.” Interpretation- Don’t gossip or waste time speaking unkind things to others. Use your words to encourage people.
