The Importance of Finding a Christian Boyfriend

Dating is a tough process. Whether you’ve dated someone for a week or a year, you know how hard it can often get. I’ve always been told the importance of finding someone who is on the same page as you physically, mentally, but most important, spiritually. Being in a relationship that revolves around God is a priority that every Christian should consider.
1 Corinthians 13:4-5 says, “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.” Then again in verse 7 it says, “It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” There are so many verses in the Bible that give us direction on how love and relationships should be. Dating someone who is in the Word knows that your relationship should be patient, kind, free of envy, etc. Of course, another perk to seeking a Christian boyfriend is being on the same page physically. Setting boundaries is a very important step in a relationship. It saves you a lot of stress, pain, and temptation!
I came across a quote online that “a Christian relationship is not the same thing as a relationship revolving around Christ.” This mindset changed my viewpoint on how a Christ-like relationship should be. Find someone who shares your values and wants to not only better themselves for you, but more importantly for God!
