How to Stay Christian in High School

High School: The definition of Friday night football, pep assemblies, oh-so-awesome algebra, and cliques everywhere you look. How can you keep your faith strong and still have fun during your high school years? Keep reading, my darling Insiders, and I will tell you just how.

Pray, Pray, Pray!

Praying is so important, ladies. Daily prayer is so important when it comes to staying Christian in high school. Pray for strength to keep your walk with God true. Pray that God will open your non-Christian friends to your faith, and that you’ll be able to witness to them when the time is right.  Most importantly, pray that your faith is strengthened. God promises us that He hears our prayers and answers them, so just keep praying!

Make Christian BFF’s!

You’re going to get a lot of pressure to do the wrong things in high school. In some cases, the folks pressuring you don’t know or believe that the things they do are wrong, and sometimes they just want to see you trip in your walk of faith. You’re going to need support to keep on fighting the good fight, and that’s where Christian friends come in. They’re walking the same walk you are, and they are fighting the same battles. When you are together you are stronger than when you are alone. Use that to your advantage!

Don’t forget the importance of church attendance

Remember when we said that you are stronger when you are with other Christians than when you are alone? Your church family is the perfect example of this. God provides us that network of support, and He wants us to use it. Church attendance will strengthen your faith and help you find the strength to “no” when you need to say it.
