Time Management... It Can Be Tough!

Summer is usually described as weeks of free time and kicking back and relaxing. But, when it actually rolls around, we sometimes find ourselves super busy and full of tasks or activities. Between sports, getting ready for school, chores, work, or anything else cluttering up your summer, you are going to need a way to manage all your time to get the jobs done!
Don’t worry, it’s actually not as hard as you think! Step one is pretty easy. Sit down and grab a pencil and a piece of paper. Write down everything you need to get done. Then, make a list numbering each task with #1 being the most important and your last number being the one that can wait the longest to be completed. This will help you get your priorities straight!
Step two. Don’t be afraid to purchase a calendar/planner! This way you will never over-plan yourself. Have you ever planned a sleepover with friends but realize you have practice early the next morning? Writing out your plans for each day will help you avoid certain situations like this. Especially with smartphones nowadays, you can type out different reminders for your highest priority plans so you won’t overdo yourself!
Lastly, remember that you can say “no!” You don’t have to agree to do everything. If you feel yourself starting to get stressed, remember that no one’s making your schedule cluttered but you! Open your schedule and feel your anxiety levels decrease!
