Some people are naturally born with beautiful, thick, luscious hair… others aren’t as lucky. Although thin hair is at times both a blessing and a curse, making it look thicker than it actually is, is tougher than it looks. I’ve learned a few tricks and tips that’ll help you thicken your hair without hundreds of pricey products or remedies!
First things first, make sure you’re using the right shampoos and conditioners. Avoid conditioners that say “hydrating” or similar things that will lead to actually flattening your hair instead of helping it. Volumizing products can really make a difference when it comes to expanding the look of your locks.
Apart from products, next time you’re at your hair salon ask your hairdresser to put in layers like the picture on the left. Sometimes adding variety to your hair gives off a lusher look than before. Also, if you’re struggling with your thin look in the mornings, try teasing your hair just enough to add a little height to it. It’s not hard and only takes a few seconds!
Another tip to try out is blow drying your hair upside down and avoiding brushing it. Keeping your hair as high as possible without flattening it down is the way to go with thin hair. Also, when it comes to styling your hair, try curling instead of straightening. Like I said before, volume is always the way to go!
Let me know any secrets you have for helping thin hair below!
