Pore Filler: What it Is and What it Does

Pore Filler: What it Is and What it Does
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/chelsea-crockett-pore-filler-what-it-is-and-what-it-does.jpg

What is pore filler? What does it do? Well, to be honest, it does exactly what the name says, it fills your pores! I’ll explain what it is and why you should give it a try.

What it is: Pore filler helps to erase the look of large pores. You smooth it on your face like you would a makeup primer before applying your face makeup.2503344

Why to use it: If you have large pores or just want to cover up your pores, this is for you. Using this can help smooth inconsistencies and large pores to help your makeup go on smoother. It also helps combat oily skin, because the larger your pores are the more oily your skin is!

The best products: NYX and Benefit Cosmetics both have great pore fillers. Baby Skin also has one called “Instant Pore Eraser” that I have used and definitely recommend. Pore fillers can actually be pretty pricey, so my recommendation is to either ask for a sample or buy the smallest bottle you can so that if it doesn’t work for you, you aren’t stuck with a ton of it!

Try it out and see what you think! Comment below if you have ever used pore fillers and what you thought of them.

XOXO, Chels

5 Minute Face Contour

5 Minute Face Contour
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2016/12/chelsea-crockett-5-minute-face-contour.jpg

When I think about contouring my face, all I can think about is how time consuming it is going to be. That is no longer the case with this brand spankin’ new contouring method that takes only 5 minutes! I’ll tell you all about it.

What you will need: a dark shadow for contouring and a highlighter for highlighting, and a tapered brush or a blusher brush.ultabronzer

The key: accentuate the places where shadows normally fall on your face. This place is below your cheekbones, and to accentuate this area use your brush to measure a straight line from your ear to the side of your mouth like you are sucking in your cheeks, then place the contour there.

The method: load up your brush with bronzer or whatever contouring makeup you are using, then brush the excess off on your hand and lightly bring the color along the line you traced on your cheek with your brush earlier. Bring the excess bronzer on the brush up to your temple and blend it to connect it with your hair line.

Next, highlight: Highlight the top of your cheekbones, the bridge of your nose, under your brow bone, and your cupids bow. Or, if you want to keep your look a little more natural, choose a few to highlight instead of all of them.

Wham bam, you are done! Just simple bronzer and highlighter can do the trick when it comes to a quick contour!

Clown Contouring. What is it?

Clown Contouring. What is it?
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/chelsea-crockett-clown-contouring-.jpg

Have you all heard of clown contouring? I hadn"t until recently. Youtuber Bella DeLune started the trend when she decided to stand up to people who called her a clown because she wore too much makeup. She posted a before and after picture of her with her colorfully contoured face clowned-up, and then with the makeup expertly blended, just to show the haters how artful makeup really is.

Bella has started a major trend! Girls everywhere are trying clown contouring...and loving it! It is an exaggerated form of color-correction that isn"t for everyday-wear, because quite frankly it takes quite a bit of time! But, the results are stunning. It made ME want to try my hand at contouring! Take a look at these before and after pics of Bella. She looks gorgeous! I love how she can take the hate and turn it into an educational video to show others her process and her artfulness. As girls we can get hit with a lot or criticism for wearing too much/too little makeup, but I believe that makeup is a form of self-expression! Your face is your own, and you can choose what to do with it!

What do you think? Will you try your hand at clown contouring?

Eye Shadow Order!

Eye Shadow Order!
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/chelsea-crockett-eyeshadow-order.jpg

Putting on eyeshadow is an art. Did you know that there is a certain order that you are supposed to apply your eyeshadow in? By using these simple steps you can maximize the effects of your eyeshadow and make your eyes pop! Here they are:

chelsea crockett

  1. On the inside of your eyelid, the part closest to your nose, is where you focus the lightest shade.

  2. In the middle of your lid, transition from the light shade to a medium shadow color.

  3. On the outside edge of your lid is where you focus the darker “smokey” color

  4. Use a transition color to blend the dark outside color and middle color together. Check out the diagram to see how to do it!

I use these tips all the time, so I know that you will love them! Try them out and comment below and tell me if they work for you!
