DIY Bff Halloween Costumes

DIY Bff Halloween Costumes
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Chelsea-Crockett-DIY-BFF-halloween-costumes-.jpg

One of the most fun things about halloween is getting creative with your costume. Especially if you and your bff are pairing up. Pair costumes are so fun, because you can get so artistic and out-there with them! The possibilities are endless! If you want to be the best dressed at any halloween, here are a few examples of bff costumes you and your bestie can rock! Plus, they’re all DIY so you can be totally proud of your creations.

  1. Barbie and Ken: If your bff is a guy, or if your bff is willing to dress as a guy, dress up like these two did as Barbie acouple costume (2)nd Ken! How cute are they!
  2. Starbucks drinks: This one is super easy to do! All you need is black tights, a black shirt, a white lace dress, some Starbucks cups, brown booties, and some paper to make the labels!
  3. The dancing girls emoji: This one is also really easy to remake. All you need is a black long-sleeved leotard, tights, some black slip on shoes, and big black bows! I love this costume, it is so simple but totally adorable! It is also great for a last-minute costume because it doesn’t have many parts to it.

Wear your costumes with pride! You will be the envy of every Halloween party, everyone will wish they were as creative as you, plus they"ll be jealous that you have such a stinkin" awesome BFF that will dress up crazy with you. ;)

XOXO, Chels

DIY Spooky Dorm Decor

DIY Spooky Dorm Decor
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/DIY-Spooky-dorm-decor-.jpg

One of the reasons I am totally pumped to go to college is the fact that I can decorate my dorm. Pinterest is full of adorable pictures of dolled-up dorm rooms, and I totally cannot wait to do that to mine! In the meantime, I can recommend dorm décor to my college ladies out there. Here are a few simple ways to bring Halloween with you to your dorm room! All of your neighbors are going to be so jealous of your sweet décor.

  1. Monster door: Have some spare construction paper laying around? If not, go to Walmart, grab a pack, and create a monster on your door! Cover the whole door with black paper, then make a small red section. Cut out white triangles for the fangs and orange ovals for squinty eyes and you’re set!  dorm
  2. Melty crayon pumpkins: I had this DIY on my website a while ago, but here is a refresher! If you aren’t too keen on carving pumpkins or you want to switch things up, try this super unique spin on pumpkin decorating!  It’s really easy to do, and only requires a large white fake pumpkin, some hot glue, 16-20 crayons, a hair dryer, and some newspapers to cover your workspace. HERE are the instructions!dorm 1
  3. Glowing eyes: I am willing to guess that you have some cardboard toilet paper rolls laying around your dorm bathroom. Take a few of them and cut out different eye shapes in them. Grab some glow sticks, duct tape them inside the rolls, then place them around your room! Creepy AND creative.

All of your friends are going to want to hang around your room because it is the most spook-tacular! ;)

XOXO, Chels

Halloween Cake Pops!

Halloween Cake Pops!
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/Chelsea-Crockett-Halloween-Cake-Pops.jpg

Tis’ the season of Halloween treats and festivities! There’s nothing I love more than finding fun recipes to put my baking skills to use. Cake pops, in particular, are some of my favorite treats to make. Take a minute to Google image all of the different Halloween pop ideas. You can make ghosts, mummies, jack-o-lanterns, black cats, monsters, etc. The ideas are endless. Not only are they cute but they taste even better!Chelsea Crockett - Spider Cake Pops

If you’re creative in the kitchen, you may be able to come up with an idea or two on how to decorate your cake pops. My favorite ones, like the pops on the right, call for chocolate cake batter, black sprinkles, black icing, black licorice, and the edible hard sugar that acts as the eyes (you can even make them out of icing too!). How simple is that? Another recipe calls for white icing and Oreo cake batter decorated with googly eyes. It was the cutest tray of little white ghosts that tasted delicious as well!

So what are you waiting for? Grab some friends and ingredients and let the baking, icing, and eating begin!

XOXO, Chels

Halloween Costume Rules

Halloween Costume Rules
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/chelsea-crockett-halloween-costume-rule-.jpg

Okay ladies. I know some of us have been planning our Halloween costumes for this year since the day after Halloween last year (aka me…), but I just want to remind you of a few Halloween costume rules that are essential to picking the perfect ensemble. Halloween is a chance to show your creative side. Like I said, there are a few little tips to keep in mind while assembling your disguise.

  1. Raid your closet before opening your wallet. You already have a closet full of clothes, so put them to use. Plus, you probably have access to a sister or bff’s closet, too. ;) Use what you have to create a great costume!tumblr_mbflqeKvrz1qg9syc
  2. Know what you’re getting yourself into. If you are going to a Halloween party or gathering, ask around to find out the dress code. If people don’t really dress up at the party you are attending, it wouldn’t be wise to show up in full vampire gettup!
  3. Keep it classy. Sexy school teacher = not a wise option. I know you are more creative than that! Halloween is not a time to show off what your momma gave you, it is a time to show your talents in the area of costume design!
  4. Mind the weather: If it is going to be in the 40’s or 50’s, The Little Mermaid might not be the best costume option. Dress for the weather so you aren’t shivering with your teeth chattering the whole time!

Start thinking about your Halloween costume now so you can have the best one out of all your friends! Pinterest is a great resource for those kinds of things!

XOXO, Chels

DIY Crock Pot Pumpkin Spice Latte
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/chelsea-crockett-DIY-crock-pit-pumpkin-spice-latte.jpg

Save yourself a trip to Starbucks and make your own pumpkin spice latte! This recipe is uber easy, made from all real ingredients, can be made in a big batch for all of your gal pals to share, and makes your house smell amazing when you make it. J Oh, and it tastes heavenly!

Ingredients:

  • 4-6 cups of strongly brewed coffeeslow-cooker-pumpkin-spice-latte_02
  • 1/2 cup of pumpkin puree
  • 1/2 cup of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of cinnamon
  • 3 cinnamon sticks

Grab your crock pot and combine the milk and coffee in it. In a large bowl whip together the pumpkin, vanilla, sugar and cinnamon. Pour it into the crock pot and mix it together well. Throw in 3 to 4 cinnamon sticks and cover the crock pot up. Cook on high for two hours. This recipe serves 15 people, so if you don’t have that many people over to enjoy your creation, just cut the recipe in half!

This would be a great bonfire treat to keep your tummy warm, or a great hay ride refreshment. MMMM!

Pumpkin Spice for Your Skin!

Pumpkin Spice for Your Skin!
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/Chelsea-Crockett-Pumpkin-Spice-for-Your-Skin.jpg

Once fall hits…BAM, pumpkin spice everything! I’m constantly dreaming about pumpkin spice lattes or pumpkin desserts. Now, we all know that the smell and taste of pumpkin spice is one of the best things about the fall, but what about using it for your skin?! I’ve got an amazing body scrub to bring together beauty and our favorite fall flavor.Chelsea Crockett- pumpkin puree

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • ¼ cup sea salt
  • ¼ cup coffee grounds
  • ¼ cup jojoba oil
  • 1 cup pureed pumpkin

All you have to do is mix the ingredients together and start scrubbing! That’s it! Jojoba oil is extremely nourishing and can help repair even the driest of skin, while the salt and coffee grounds will help smooth out skin. Oh, and did I mention your body will smell like a pumpkin spice latte?! Hope you enjoy!

XOXO,

Halloween Inspiration Straight from the Runway

Halloween Inspiration Straight from the Runway
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Chelsea-Crockett-Halloween-Inspiration-Straight-from-the-Runway.jpg

Fashion month just ended…aka I’m having major FOMO! Even though I’m still waiting to attend a fashion week of my own, it didn’t stop me from constantly keeping up with the month of fashion. Between snapchats, magazines, and Instagram, I was fully kept up! A few designers that caught my eye were Betsey Johnson, Jeremy Scott, and Hood by Air. Their shows were so fun and lively, which got me thinking about Halloween. Keep on reading to find out how I got Halloween inspiration straight from the runway and a few pics to recreate the looks!

Betsey Johnson is known for her crazy patterns, energetic shows, and of course…closing every show with her famous splits! This year’s show was inspired by bright colors, flowers, and rainbows. This gave me major inspiration to be a 70’s flower power girl! Break out the bright eye shadow, hair crimper, bright flared jeans, and platform shoes!Chelsea Crockett- betsey johnson makeupChelsea Crockett- Betsey Johnson

I would love to get inside Jeremy Scott’s mind. His designs are genius and youthful. This year, Jeremy’s runway show made me think of 80’s disco girls. Start by teasing your hair as high as it’ll go, slip on a sequin dress, and throw on some heavy eyeliner! Now you’re the dancing queen!Chelsea Crockett- Jeremy ScottChelsea Crockett- Jeremy Scott Hair

The Hood by Air show as crazy! Instead of traditional contouring, they decided to contour without blending! This gave the models a very harsh, almost scary appearance. If you’re looking to be a zombie this year, try out this technique with any colors you’d like!

My final favorite Halloween inspo came from Tommy Hilfiger. His spring/summer collection was inspired by Jamaica and got me in the mood for the beach. Try dressing up in floral attire (Hawaiian print), beachy waved hair, and/or a swimsuit cover-up!   Chelsea Crockett- Tommy Hilfiger

Comment below what you’re being for Halloween!

DIY Pumpkin Vanilla Sugar Scrub

DIY Pumpkin Vanilla Sugar Scrub
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/chelsea-crockett-pumpkin-vanilla-sugar-scrub-.jpg

For most people cool weather = dry skin. Dry skin = bad news. Sugar scrubs are one of my favorite dry skin remedies because they smell heavenly and make my skin feel incredibly smooth. To celebrate this wonderful fall season, here is a recipe for pumpkin vanilla sugar scrub! It layers vanilla scrub with vanilla-pumpkin scrub to create a “candy corn” look!sugar scrub

Ingredients

  • Vanilla Sugar Scrub
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 1/4 cup coconut oil
    • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Vanilla- Pumpkin Sugar Scrub
    • 2 cups sugar
    • 1/2 cup coconut oil
    • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
    • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
    • 1/8 teaspoon ground clove
    • Optional: red and yellow liquid food coloring

Vanilla Sugar Scrub:

Heat the coconut oil on the stove until it is melted. Add in the vanilla extract and stir until fully combined. Add vanilla and coconut mixture to the sugar and stir.

Vanilla-Pumpkin Sugar Scrub:

Heat the coconut oil on the stove until it is melted. Add in the spices and vanilla, and stir until fully combined. Add the liquid to the sugar and stir it together. Right now the mixture will be a light brown color. Divide it into two bowls for coloring if you want it to look like candy corn!

  • To create the yellow layer
    • 4 drops of yellow food coloring
  • To create the red layer
    • 4 drops of yellow and 3 drops of red for the red layer.
    • No worries, this amount of food coloring will not color your skin!

Scrub that dry skin away, and smell like a pumpkin pie while doing it! ;)

The Hottest New Hair Trend: The Long Bob

The Hottest New Hair Trend: The Long Bob
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Chelsea-crockett-the-LOB.jpg

I am here to talk about my favorite hair trend as of right now. It is the “lob” or the “long bob” and it is taking the fashion world by storm! I love the look because it isn’t too long, isn’t too short, and is so versitile. If I wasn’t so in love with my long hair I would tooootally get a lob! Here are a few of my favorite ways to rock the “lob”!

  1. Straight and sassy: I love the straight lob because it is so polished and chic! This is a great every day look.lob 3
  2. Curly and cute: Big curls on a lob give it a cute, fun, girly flare! Because your hair is short, it will also hold a much better curl! This means your bouncy wringlets will last you aalllll day long! This hair style would make me feel totally fierce.
  3. Wavy and wild: Beach waves and loose curls are such a carefree, breezy look! This is a great running short on time kind of look because all you need to do is curl a few strands, work some sea salt spray into the rest, and you are good to go!

Which style is YOUR favorite way to wear a lob?

XOXO, Chels

Hacks for the Perfect DIY Manicure

Hacks for the Perfect DIY Manicure
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Chelsea-Crockett-DIY-Manicure.jpg

Most people say there’s only one way to get the perfect manicure… going to an actual salon and paying the expensive price for your nails. FALSE! I’ve seen DIY manicures go totally wrong, and I understand it can be frustrating! So… here are a few hacks that help you save money and perfect a salon manicure at home :).

  • First comes first, how do you make your polish last longer? Even if your nails are already squeaky clean, go over them with some nail polish remover. This gets rid of any bacteria or dead skin that could prevent your polish from sticking for longer than a few days.Chelsea Crockett - DIY Dotting Tool
  • As far as decorating your nails goes, finding the perfect tool to make your designs isn’t always easy. All you need are some pencils (old or new!) and a few pins. Stick the pointy side far into the eraser and use the rounded side as a dotting tool!
  • There are a couple quick and easy ways to set your polish and hurry up the drying process. Pam’s cooking oil, believe it or not, is perfect for preventing smudges! After spraying them with that, dip your nails in ice cold water. This speeds up the polish’s hardening process tremendously.
  • Lastly, the way you apply your polish in coats is very important. It’s much better to apply small, thin coats instead of one thick coat. One thick coat will allow the top layer to dry much faster than the under layers and be more vulnerable to smudges!

Good luck insiders :)! - Chelsea

5 Fun Sleepover Ideas

5 Fun Sleepover Ideas
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Chelsea-Crockett-Sleepover-Ideas.jpg

Having the ultimate girls’ night at home can often trump any night out. Chick flicks, pizzas, and a bunch of sleeping bags may be the only things you think you’ll need for the perfect night, but I’ve found five Pinterest ideas that’ll make your sleepover the best of the year!

  • I love when I’m staying the night at a friend’s house and she has a killer breakfast to wake up to :). I found the cute idea of having a waffle bar with tons of toppings and flavors. You can put blueberries, strawberries, bananas, chocolate chips, whipped cream, etc. out on your table while your waffles are toasting!Chelsea Crockett - Waffle Bar
  • Where I live, it’s still going to be warm outside for a while (and even if it’s a little cold in your area, bundle up!). If you have an open side of your house or a sheet you can hang somewhere outside, set up a projector and have an outdoor movie night!
  • Since fall is coming up, you’ll need some delicious hot drinks. Instead of a waffle bar like the one above, try out a hot chocolate bar! Set out different types of hot cocoa along with tons of different toppings such as mini marshmallows, caramels, whipped cream, etc. YUM!
  • Now this idea might be a little bit of a stretch for some, but I think it’s great! For a couple hours, everyone put their phone in a basket and play some old fashioned games such as capture the flag or flashlight tag!
  • Lastly, if you and your friends start to get bored, have some fun by doing blindfolded makeovers or facials! There are so many DIY face mask recipes to choose from.

Which idea are you going to try out? Let me know your fave below :)!

How to Be the Best Third Wheel

How to Be the Best Third Wheel
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Chelsea-Crockett-How-to-Be-the-Best-Third-Wheel.jpg

Have you ever found yourself in a room full of couples? Are all of your best friends getting into relationships? This tends to be a trend in high school and college, but don’t fret! It is possible to enjoy third wheeling and it can even be fun! Embrace the situation you’re in and become the best third wheel you can be!

A third wheel means hanging out with your BFF and their boyfriend or girlfriend. While most may seem uncomfortable, you’ve got to look on the bright side! Since your BFF now has a partner, you’ve just gained another friend yourself. It’s like the song says, “Two is better than one!” It’s also a good idea to take note of your friend’s relationship. You can learn the DO’s and DON’Ts of a relationship just by hanging out with them! This way, when it’s your turn to get in a relationship, you’ll know what and what not to do! This can save you from a lot of arguments!

There are a few scenarios to take note of before you third wheel. Avoid romantic dinner dates! If you’re going to tag along on a dinner, go somewhere casual and fun; the more people, the better. It’s also important to know when to dip out. If you feel like your friends want some alone time or you’ve been with them too much, just casually leave! Don’t make it awkward, just come up with something. There’s always a time and a place for this situation.

All in all, being a third wheel isn’t that bad!! Embrace your situation. When the right time comes, you’ll be the one in a relationship.

XOXO,

            Chelsea

Ballerina Workout!

Ballerina Workout!
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Chelsea-Crockett-Ballerina-Workout.jpg

Ballerinas are known for their long, swift movements. Without lean legs and a tight stomach, it would be hard to twirl and leap! Barre workouts have become the new “it” workout. It incorporates ballerina moves and weight training to lengthen and strengthen your muscles. Going to a studio can be expensive; luckily it’s just as easy to do your own barre workout at home! Check out my favorite moves below!Chelsea Crockett- barre workout

  1. Who doesn’t want a nice booty?! Grab a chair and stand behind it. Hold on to the back of the chair, kick your leg back, and pump it up and down. Trust me, you’ll feel the burn! Try 3 sets of 15 reps for each leg.
  2. I love ballerina squats! Grabbing on to the back of a chair, stand on your toes about hip width apart and squat up and down. Try quickly squatting up and down to the beat of a song. Don’t worry about getting low!
  3. Try doing the same steps as #2, but with your legs together! It’s like a chair squat, but on your toes.
  4. For a leg and arm workout, grab a dumbbell in one hand and hold the back of a chair with the other. Extend the leg closest to the chair back and bend the other. Reach the arm with the dumbbell out and rep it close to your chest while bringing the extended leg in. Repeat 15 times before switching sides.

I hope you’ll enjoy and see results from these exercises!

Get Your Money’s Worth out of Products!

Get Your Money’s Worth out of Products!
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Chelsea-Crockett-Get-Your-Money’s-Worth-out-of-Products.jpg

Have you ever purchased a makeup, body, or hair product that you loved, but seemed to run out too fast? I know I have! Some makeup products come in tubes so tiny it’s hard to believe they exist! My love for makeup can get very expensive, so I try to get the most out of each product. By using these simple tips in your everyday routine, you’ll find yourself making fewer trips to the beauty department!Chelsea Crockett- beauty hacks

  • If you use a mineral powder, like Bare Minerals, use a penny to open the bottom to get any leftover powder. This could give you a few more days of use!
  • Once your mascara is done for, clean the mascara brush and use it as an eyebrow comber!
  • To make bronzer or blush a little darker, apply it to freshly moisturized skin. This will save you from putting 2-3 coats on.
  • If your favorite lipstick is almost out, use a Q-Tip to apply every last amount.
  • You can fix a broken compact by adding a few drops of rubbing alcohol to the powder and patting it down.
  • If you don’t like the conditioner you’ve been using for your hair, don’t throw it away! Use it as shaving cream for smooth legs!
  • When I’m about to leave the house I usually just spray perfume all over my clothes and head out. Perfume can get buried in the fabric of your clothes, wasting those 5 pumps of perfume you sprayed. Instead, try placing perfume behind your ears, at the base of your throat, and/or behind the knees!
  • Prolong your razor by soaking it in baby oil after each use! This will keep soap and other minerals from dulling the blade!

Hope these beauty hacks come in handy!

4 Alternate Uses for Nail Polish

4 Alternate Uses for Nail Polish
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/chelsea-crockett-4-alternate-uses-for-nail-polish-.jpg

Nail polish isn’t just for nails anymore! There are lots of crafty gals out there that have come up with creative ways for us to customize everyday items and give them some extra glam using nothing more than nail polish! How many of us have bottles and bottles of nail polish shoved in a box in our closet? We only use them once or twice and then get tired of the color! Luckily crafty gals have come to the rescue and gave us some fun DIYs to put those lonely nail polish bottles out of their misery.

  1. Decorate your phone charger: At sleepovers all of my friends and I have iPhones, so we always get our phone chargers mixed up! The solution? Make yours unique! Make a cute design with nail polish or cover it all in glitter polish, the options are endless!56863f8dd4525d6db542e357f4262d07
  2. Customize your phone case: Find a clear case on Amazon for a dollar or two or just paint over a case you already have! Search for tutorials on YouTube if you need some creative inspiration!
  3. Color coordinate your keys: If you have a billion keys and it takes you 12 minutes just to find the right one, paint them with nail polish! It will help you distinguish them from each other.
  4. Cover up car scratches: Have you accidentally bumped into something or scratched your car? Nail polish is a life saver. Find a shade that matches your car and touch it up a bit.

Now you can get some use out of all of those abandoned nail polishes that have been used once or twice and then forgotten! Let’s get to crafting.

XOXO, Chels

Buffalo Wings, Pretzel Edition!

Buffalo Wings, Pretzel Edition!
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/chelsea-crockett-Buffalo-Wings-Pretzel-Edition.jpg

Football season is here! I can BARELY contain my excitement!! High school football is more my forte, but I also enjoy watching the occasional NFL game or two with my friends and family. I have a question for you. What food screams “football snack HERE!”? If you answered any food with the word “buffalo” in it I would have to agree. Buffalo chicken dip is one of my weaknesses, but now I have found another! It is buffalo wing pretzel sticks. All the goodness of buffalo dip in crunchy form! If you want you can even dip them in ranch. These would even be a good school snack to toss in a Ziploc baggie. Here is how to make them!

Ingredients:1df04bc2f6175c4b67b533ffb87dba47

  • ½ cup buffalo wing sauce
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp seasoned salt
  • 16 oz bag pretzel sticks
  • Ranch dressing for dipping

After preheating your oven to 300F line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. In a saucepan melt butter, wing sauce and Worcestershire sauce and cook for about 5 minutes. Pour the pretzels into a bowl and then drizzle the wing sauce over them. Stir them to coat and then spread them out on the baking sheet, baking them for 30 minutes and then stirring them around every 10 minutes.

Now grab some ranch or bleu cheese dip and go to town!

XOXO, Chels

3 Homecoming Must-Haves: Guide to a Perfect Outfit

3 Homecoming Must-Haves: Guide to a Perfect Outfit
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/Chelsea-Crockett-Homecoming.jpg

Homecoming season is here and I couldn"t be more excited! Getting dressed up, taking a million pictures, a night with all your BFFs... Three of my favorite things in one night! Although the night itself is extremely fun, leading up to the event can be pretty stressful. You must find the essentials needed to make your outfit amazing. Here are 3 things you can write on the top of your Hoco to-do list!

First comes first, you"re going to need a fabulous dress (duh!). Windsor, BeBe, and Express are only a few of the several stores you can shop at! Keep in mind the style and color you want. Walking into those types of stores without an idea in your head can sometimes seem overwhelming! And if you find a dress you love while on the search for another, try it on too!Chelsea Crockett - Heels

Second, you"ll want to purchase some stylish heels. (Depending on the type of person you are, you may want to wear flats. You decide!) If your dress is super simple, I suggest rocking some statement heels! If your dress already has a lot going on, then tone your shoes down with a solid color pair of heels.

Lastly, you"ll need lots of accessories to finish off your look! It"ll all depend on your dress and shoes, but I suggest wearing a necklace, earrings, and a clutch. Consider the style and how formal your dress is. You don"t want an extremely formal dress with over the top earrings and an over the top necklace. Make sure everything balances and fits together!

I can"t wait to see what gorgeous outfits you come up with for homecoming!

Love, Chels

Fudgesicles Featuring Nutella

Fudgesicles Featuring Nutella
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/chelsea-crockett-Fudgesicles-Featuring-Nutella-.jpg

Although summer is coming to a close that doesn’t mean that the warm weather is done with its smothering assault on us. It stays warm where I live wellll into September, so I am going to take advantage of it as long as I can, and that means whipping up sweet cold treats. Here is one of my fav cold recipes: Nutella fudgesicles! Fudgesicles are fudge popsicles. Here is how to whip yourself up a batch!

Ingredients:red-nutella-pop_250

  • 1 ½ cup whole milk
  • 1 tbsp corn starch
  • ¼ cup & 2 tbsp Nutella
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened coca powder
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Put the milk and corn starch in a saucepan and stir until the starch is dissolved. Place the mixture over medium heat and add the Nutella and cocoa powder. Stir it frequently so that it doesn’t stick to the bottom. Heat it for about 5 minutes or until the mixture thickens and then take it off of the heat. Stir in the vanilla and let the mixture cool for 5 minutes while stirring frequently. Once it has cooled pour the mixture into the molds and freeze it for 6 hours or more. When you are ready to devour them, hold the mold under warm water to help the fudsicles come loose.

These sound like heaven! Woud YOU try these fudgy pops?

XOXO, Chels

Bucket Purses: The Newest Trend

Bucket Purses: The Newest Trend
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Chelsea-Crockett-Bucket-Purses.jpg

Every girl has their preferred style of purses. You may be one to throw on a cross body with boyfriend jeans and a tee. Or maybe you just purchased an on-the-shoulder bag to rock with your new dress! Well, if you haven"t heard of them yet, Chelsea Crockett - Bucket PursesI"m going to introduce you to bucket purses, the newest and hottest trend!

If you have absolutely no idea what I’m talking about, look at the picture on the left. These purses bunch at the top and either sling over the shoulder like the one on the left or have a small loop strap to hang on your elbow. I’m obsessed with all the different patterns and colors you can get them in. Some you can even find with fringe or different designs! With fall coming up, they’ll definitely be a necessity in all of your closets! One of my favorite looks I’ve seen with these is a light brown bag with boyfriend jeans, an oversized sweater, and booties. It’s the perfect look for autumn and the purse completes the look!

For where you can find them, it’s pretty simple! For one, Nordstrom’s selection is huge. From a fringe bag to simple and black (or even a mix between the two!), they have almost any bucket purse style you can think of! You can also find them at Forever 21, Macy’s, J. Crew, etc. Or you can check them out on Amazon, just click here!

Let me know what you think!

Love, Chelsea

Are You Making Yourself Look Older?

Are You Making Yourself Look Older?
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/Chelsea-Crockett-Are-You-Making-Yourself-Look-Older.jpg

It’s crazy how makeup can make a person look so different! While we want to look young and bright, sometimes makeup can make us look dull or even older (not in a good way). So how can we stop this from happening? Keep on reading to see if you’re applying makeup incorrectly!Chelsea Crockett- exfoliate

  • Don’t pass up primer! Primer minimizes your pores and keeps makeup on longer! You won’t have to worry about weird lines or big pores, especially around your nose.
  • Make sure you’re using the correct foundation. Don’t pack on too much powder or liquid foundation and make sure you are using the correct shade.
  • Don’t dye your hair all one color. If you go to a stylist, ask him/her to add warmth or another tone into your hair! It’ll help make your face glow!
  • Not exfoliating regularly will lead to a buildup of dirt and dry skin. By exfoliating, you’ll be giving your face completely new skin!
  • Wear SPF every day! While you may not notice how it’s changing your skin now, you will when you’re older!

Let’s feel youthful forever!

XOXO,

     Chelsea

Proof that You are Worth it

Proof that You are Worth it
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/chelsea-crockett-Proof-that-You-are-Worth-it-.jpg

Everyone deserves to feel like they are worth their weight in gold. They deserve to feel valued, treasured, and adored. The only person who can make you feel that way, whatever place you are at in your life or wherever you are, is Jesus. We go through so much every day. The world is a harsh, scary, sad place sometimes and it can be hard to endure some days. But you know what? God is always rooting for us. He is always in the stands, ready to whip out his pom poms and cheer us on to victory. If you ever feel like you aren’t worth His love or that you are not enough, I encourage you to read these next verses. They will help give you a glimpse at how God feels b72e634fe183d2010db7309d1e7b4b37about you.

  1. “But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, and raised us up with Him and seated us with Him in the heavenly places of Christ Jesus,” Ephesians 2:4, 6
  2. “Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;” Philippians 1:6
  • We are works in progress, but He isn’t done working in us yet! He has a unique purpose for each and every one of us.
  1. “The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs–heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.” Romans 8:16-17
  • Hear that? We are heirs of Christ! Also, God says our suffering for him will only bring us honor in heaven.
  1. The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your steadfast love, O LORD, endures forever. Do not forsake the work of your hands.” Psalm 138:8
  • Like I said, he has a purpose for you!
  1. ”I, I am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake, and I will not remember your sins.”
    Isaiah 43:25
  • You know that sin you are so ashamed of? He wiped it away. Gone. See ya.

We are so loved! So valued! So treasured by Jesus! He says you are worthy, and if Jesus says it you KNOW it is true.  You are so worth it!

XOXO, Chels

Tips for a Successful Homecoming!

Tips for a Successful Homecoming!
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/Chelsea-Crockett-Homecoming1.jpg

Since it’s my season year, this is the last homecoming I get to experience before I graduate. I’m hoping to make it the best one yet! Homecoming night is filled with tons of memories, pictures, and festivities and will be added to the list of your favorite high school memories. Over the years, I’ve noticed a few things that are perfect for a homecoming do’s and don’ts list.Chelsea Crockett - Homecoming Dress

  • First and foremost, allow yourself plenty of time to get ready. Too many times have I seen girls stressing about a time crunch or having a panic attack while trying to finish their hair and makeup. Start with more time than you think you’ll need just in case!
  • I always hear about girls stressing to find the perfect date. Don’t worry, that’s not all what homecoming’s about! Sure, it’s fun to have a date, but going with a group of friends is just as fun! Side note: if you have a date, don’t cling onto him the whole night. You can have fun with him and all your BFFs at the same time!
  • As an avid Instagrammer and photographer, I like capturing every moment (ask my friends, they’ll tell you!). Make sure you take lots of pictures to remember your fun night! You’d rather take too many than not enough.
  • This tip is pretty obvious, but can often be forgotten. Plan ahead! If you need to make dinner reservations, do it weeks ahead. If you need jewelry and heels to finish off your outfit, get them far in advance. You’d rather be safe than sorry!
  • Lastly, have fun! Homecoming is a night to have a blast and make tons of memories with your friends. Don’t get caught up in the stress of the night!

Have fun! - Chelsea

5 Different Ways to Rock Flannel

5 Different Ways to Rock Flannel
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/fdsaf.jpg

As I’ve stated a million times before, flannel is one of my favorite fall patterns! A couple years ago, oversized flannels started to be the biggest trend to wear in autumn. Now there are tons of different ways to rock flannel! Here are five of my favorites.

  1. A flannel dress. These have been the craze this season! They can be casual, worn with booties and simple accessories, or you can dress them up with wedges. Either way, they’re super cute!
  2. A flannel scarf. Wearing one of these with an oversized sweater and booties is one of my favorite comfy outfits for fall. You can find infinity plaid scarves at a handful of places including Target and Forever 21.
  3. A flannel jacket. I know an actual plaid jacket can be hard to find, but using a big flannel as a jacket/cardigan is a perfect substitute! Just roll up the sleeves so they’re quarter length for a better look and you’re set.Chelsea Crockett - Layered Flannel
  4. A flannel layer. I love when people can pull off a layered look for fall. I think it’s super classy and gives off a very put-together feel. My fave way to do this is an outfit like the picture on the right. How stylish is that?
  5. A flannel tied around your waist. This look often comes off as hipster or something you’d see on tumblr, and I think it’s really cute! Plus, if you get cold, you can throw it on as a cardigan!

What other ways do you rock a flannel? Share with me below! - Chels

5 Concealer Hacks You Can"t Live Without

5 Concealer Hacks You Can"t Live Without
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/tumblr_inline_mkaf.jpg

Concealer is a life saver when it comes to baggy eyes and random pimples, but there are other, outside-of-the-box uses that have recently been brought to my attention… And let me tell you, you will never look at concealer the same! I love discovering beauty hacks and sharing them with you all. So… here are five concealer hacks!

  1. Spoiler alert: concealer can actually be used as a subtle lip liner that makes your lips pop! If you apply a layer around both your upper and lower lips, it will give off a more plump lip illusion.Chelsea Crockett - Contour
  2. Concealer is the key to contouring. Without it, your face won’t be highlighted enough to complete the look. The picture on the right shows where you’re supposed to apply the concealer for the best contour results. Follow it! I promise it works like magic!
  3. Apply a dab of concealer to your eyelids before applying eye shadow. This prevents the shadow from setting in your creases and falling off easily!
  4. Everyone wants perfect eyebrows, am I right? Apply a light concealer around the outline of your brows to make them pop! It makes them so much more noticeable.
  5. Have you ever heard of green concealer? Let me tell you, it’s a lifesaver. The color of the concealer cancels out the redness of acne and covers up pimples better than normal concealer. Buy some and try it out for yourself!

I hope these make your life a little bit easier :)!

4 Ways to Boost Your Confidence

4 Ways to Boost Your Confidence
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/fdskj.jpg

As teenagers, we often find ourselves having much lower self esteem than we should. We need to love ourselves and be confident in our own skin! That being said, it is much easier said than done. I thought I should write an article on how I’ve learned to not only look confident, but feel confident too.

  1. First comes first, stop comparing yourself to others. Nowadays, everyone cares so much about their image and how we are viewed by others. Magazines, TV shows, social media, etc. remind us of the “perfect image,” but is there such a thing? Put away your phone for the day, or any other distractions, and focus solely on yourself. Love who YOU are and don’t focus on your flaws.
  2. Take two pieces of paper and write down characteristics you like about yourself (on the outside and inside) on one sheet and what you don’t like about yourself on the other. Get rid of the negatives by either crumbling up the paper, ripping it, etc. and keep the positive sheet to look at when you need a little reminder of what you love about yourself. Chelsea Crockett - Self Confidence Quotes
  3. Take a weekend to focus solely on yourself. Go to sleep early, wake up early, drink some coffee, forget the makeup, put away your phone, get outside, etc. By Sunday night, you’ll be feeling extremely refreshed, and not to forget happy! You won’t understand until you try it for yourself.
  4. Write your favorite motivational quote on your mirror, set it as your screensaver, etc. so it’s the first thing you see when you wake up. One of my favorites is, “Self confidence is the best outfit, rock it and own it.”’

I hope this helps you boost your confidence to where it should be :)!

Love, Chelsea

Tips to Take Back Your Workout Routine

Tips to Take Back Your Workout Routine
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/chelsea-crockett-tips-to-take-back-your-workout-routine-.jpg

Trust me, I know how it feels to have zero time/motivation to work out. Luckily I am on the Tennis team this year so I get a workout almost every day, but before that it was a struggle to keep a fitness routine! Here are my tips on how to take back your fitness routine and get back in the swing of things!

1.    Lay your workout clothes in plain sight: If you are most likely to work out after school, lay your workout clothes in a place that will continually remind you that you need to put them on and hit the gym. You could even pack a gym bag in the morning so that you have it all ready to go after school!

2.    Take a challenge: Start a “couch to 5k” or “30 day abs” challenge! Having a challenge makes you more likely to stick to it and will make you want to complete it!

3.    Break your workouts up: If you are running, set goals. For instance, look ahead and pick a landmark, tell yourself to keep going until you reach it, and then once you do set another goal. It will distract you and keep you going! If you are working out in the gym, say that you will do 10 or 15 more situps and then you will be done. Simple breakdowns like that make all the difference!

4.     Bring a bud: A while back a friend and I both got gym memberships together and it really helped us stay motivated to work out! We had someone to push us, someone to talk to, and someone to say “hey, get out of bed, let’s go to the gym!”

FullSizeRender (19)
Getting back into a fitness routine can be rough. Your body takes a while to get used to it, and it is mentally tough too. I know you can do it, you got this!! Keep that winter layer of fluff away! I am going to have to work at it, too once tennis is over, so we can work at it together!

XOXO, Chels

Beauty Products to Never Share

Beauty Products to Never Share
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/10/Chelsea-Crockett-Beauty-Products-to-Never-Share.jpg

Whether it’s with your college roommate or at a sleepover, it’s easy to get beauty products mixed up or forget to bring your own. Sharing anything from makeup to facewash doesn’t sound like a big deal, right? Wrong! Using other’s beauty products spreads bacteria and can even lead to infection! Check out which products should be avoided!Chelsea Crockett- sharing mascara

  • Eye makeup and mascara are the very worst to share with friends. Since your eye is watery, it is a trap for bacteria. Avoid an eye infection by keeping your eye makeup to yourself!
  • Admit it; most of us are guilty of not cleaning our makeup brushes. Brushes can hold on to bacteria and dirt, which can make yours or a friends face breakout!
  • Cold sores, sore throats, and other sicknesses can be transferred through lip gloss and lipstick! Keep those to yourself!
  • Facial cleansing brushes are a no-go when it comes to sharing. This can lead to a skin infection, especially if you have any type of rash or acne prone area! Anything that touches open sores shouldn’t be shared!
  • Razors are never meant to be shared…I mean, do I even need to go into detail on this one?

If reading this doesn’t make you want to keep your beauty products to yourself, then I don’t know what does! Let’s practice safe beauty!

XOXO,

            Chelsea

Airport Hacks

Airport Hacks
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Chelsea-Crockett-airport-hacks.jpg

If you follow me on any social media accounts, you’ve probably noticed that I travel a lot!  Although I hit up the airport quite frequently, it’s easy to forget about all the rules and regulations, or leave an important item at home.  I recently came across some great airport hacks that I turned into a list to keep me on track during all my ventures.  Keep these amazing hacks in mind during your next airport adventure! Chelsea Crockett- airport bag for liquids

  • Many airports have started requiring small zip lock bags to hold all of your carry-on liquids. Keep multiple baggies in your purse and carry-on for the future!  I’ve forgotten this step many times!
  • I always get thirsty on a plane, but don’t feel like buying a $7.00 water bottle! Throw an empty water bottle into your carry on and fill it up when you see a water fountain.  If you’re a frequent traveler like me, you’ll save lots of money!
  • Bring your own snack! If they aren’t already opened, they’re good to go!
  • In the winter I always worry about my luggage being overweight, since winter clothes are so much heavier! Wear your heaviest items, like a big coat, tall boats, and jeans on the plane!  This way, you’ll save some extra weight for a little shopping! ;) haha.
  • Collect unused toiletries from the hotel. They’re great for carry-ons!
  • Did you know that your birthday, an anniversary, or even traveling alone can give you free perks?! Just let someone working for the airlines know and you may get upgraded, get a free snack, or get a little gift.  It’s worth a try!
  • If you’re flying into a country without data, download the Google maps offline app so you’re never stranded!
  • Airports are one of the easiest places to catch germs. Keep hand sanitizer or wet wipes on hand!

Happy travels!

Pros & Cons of Running

Pros & Cons of Running
https://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Chelsea-Crockett-Nike-Running.jpg

Running is an amazing exercise. Of course, I’m not always pumped to go on a run, but when I do, I feel refreshed and in shape! Some of my friends are very passionate runners and run miles on miles every single day. But then again, some doctors and adults think running can have more negative effects than positive on your body. I did some research, and here’s what I came up with.Chelsea Crockett - Benefits of Running

Let’s start with the cons. Running is an exercise that opens up a higher possibility to injury. It’s hard on your joints and can hurt your knees, shins, feet, etc. Running is obviously a more stressful, intense form of cardio exercise. If you run on a daily basis, you have to know what you’re doing. Keeping hydrated and listening to your body are two of the most important running pointers! If you overdo it, your muscles and joints could have some long-term damage.

Now onto the pros. One of my favorite things about running is feeling like I accomplished something after I finish. Exercising in general gives off endorphins that make you happy. Running also builds muscles and improves your stamina, which is always good when it comes to exercise. Stress levels decrease and you get a feeling of accomplishment. It’s an individual sport, so you set your goals and only you can accomplish them!

You decide for yourself. Do the pros outweigh the cons? In my opinion, running is an awesome exercise :)!

Girl Code: What Does It Mean?

Girl Code: What Does It Mean?
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/Chelsea-Crockett-Girls.jpg

As girls, we should always have each other’s backs when it comes to boys, stupid arguments, etc. There are too many times where I see girls tearing each other down instead of building each other up. We have enough of that from society! I get so many questions and comments for advice on what is considered “breaking girl code.” It’s simple and you shouldn’t be hesitant to follow it!Chelsea Crockett - Girl Code

The whole concept of “girl code” is pretty basic. For starters, if something feels wrong that you’re doing behind someone’s back, then it most likely is! Going with your gut is totally underrated in my opinion. For instance, some girls think it’s not a bad idea to do as little as flirt with someone in a relationship. Listen closely: stay away from anyone in a relationship! DO NOT be the girl that messes up something great between two people. This comes with lots of drama and guilt!

I have a lot of girls asking for my advice on what to do when you and your friend like the same guy (or something along these lines!). The first thing to learn about girl code is respect. Have respect for your friend and realize you’re both in the same boat. In my opinion, you should both back away from the situation. If I’ve learned one thing throughout my life, NEVER let a boy come between you and your BFF!

To wrap this up, I’m going to share one of my favorite quotes: “You can tell who the strong women are. They are the ones you see building one another up, instead of tearing each other down!” Can I get an “Amen?”

XO, Chels

Fruit and Yogurt Bark

Fruit and Yogurt Bark
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/chelsea-crockett-Fruit-and-Yogurt-Bark-.jpg

Cool treats are always a welcome sight in my neck of the woods. Any kind of snack that is healthy, delicious, and can cool me down gets an A+ in my book! That is exactly what this next recipe entails. It is super easy to make and is a great chilly treat to both nourish and cool down your body.

Ingredients:

  • 5 cups Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp honey12c6d9a83053071b3c31d84670e5d213
  • 1 tbsp cranberries
  • 1 tbsp raisins
  • 5 fresh strawberries, chopped
  • 1 tbsp dark chocolate chips
  • Assorted nuts (optional)

Mix the yogurt and honey together until they are well combined. Add the cranberries and raisins and stir again. Line a baking sheet with foil and pour the yogurt mixture on top. Spread it so it is about ½ inch thick. Sprinkle the strawberries, chocolate chips, nuts, and any other additional toppings on top and place in the freezer for 1 hour or until it is completely frozen. Remove from the freezer and use a knife to break the bark into pieces. Store it in the freezer in a plastic container or a freezer bag.

Next time your sweet tooth gives you a nudge, reach for one of these sweet, cool treats! They are a great healthy alternative to a candy bar or cookie. ;)

XOXO, Chels

Peanut Butter Nutella Cookies

Peanut Butter Nutella Cookies
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/chelsea-crockett-peanut-butter-nutella-cookies-.jpg

Nutella and peanut butter: the world’s best combination now in cookie form! When I heard about these cookies I knew I had to try them for myself. Thank goodness I did! They are delicious and all my friends looooove them. Here is how to make these chocolatey bits of joy.

Ingredients:

  • 1 -3/4 cups flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon saltdownload
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 3/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 1 room temperature egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup Nutella

Directions:

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set it aside. In a separate mixing bowl, combine the butter, peanut butter and both sugars. Beat on medium speed for about 5 minutes, until it is creamy and smooth. Add the egg and vanilla and beat to combine. Scrape down the sides of the bowl if you need to. Turn the mixer down to low speed and then slowly add the dry ingredients. Beat until just combined. Use a large wooden spoon to gently stir in the Nutella. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 3 hours.

Preheat the oven to 350F and line baking sheets with parchment paper. Measure out a tablespoon of dough for each cookie. Use a fork to make a criss-cross pattern on each and bake for 8-9 minutes. Allow the cookies to cool on the sheets for about 2 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack.

These sound like the perfect late night munchy, or a great way to satisfy my sweet tooth!

XOXO, Chels

"What to Wear" Struggles Resolved!

"What to Wear" Struggles Resolved!
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/Chelsea-Crockett-What-to-Wear-Article.jpg

What to wear, what to wear… The thought we all have as soon as we get out of bed. Coming up with the perfect outfit can be exhausting, let alone extremely frustrating! There are too many times I don’t know what to wear to an event, whether it be a meeting in LA or simply dinner with friends. I use these nice little tips to resolve all your “what to wear” probs!

  • First off, evaluate the situation.Chelsea Crockett - What to Wear Is it a formal event? Casual? Too many times I sit in my room looking for something to wear before realizing I actually have no idea how I should even be dressing!
  • If the event you’re going to is well known, look up what people wore to the event in the past. You can easily search the event on Google images or possibly on Instagram or Twitter.
  • If you have a smartphone, make a group chat with anyone you know going to the same event you are! I do this ALL the time! This way you can brainstorm ideas by sending possible outfit pics and get your friends input.

Whatever tip you resort to, make sure your outfit shows your style and only yours! Don’t let certain opinions change the way you dress. Be yourself!

XOXO - Chelsea

Key Areas to Contour and How to Do It!

Key Areas to Contour and How to Do It!
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/Chelsea-Crockett-Key-Areas-to-Contour-and-How-to-Do-It.jpg

Contouring is the biggest fad in the makeup industry right now!  Basically, it’s highlighting and bronzing key parts of your face to either make them stand out or be covered up.  It’s a great way to make your face look flawless.  While contouring can make you look radiant, knowing how to do it is key.  It can look quite “clown-like” if done incorrectly.  Check out how to contour the most important features of your face! Chelsea Crockett- contouring cheek bones

What you’ll need:

Contouring palette (light and dark)

Light eye shadow

Beauty Blender

Nose: For the effect of a slimmed down nose, place the dark color along the outside bridges of your nose and the light color along the top.

Cheek bones:   For the look of super-model high cheek bones, suck in your cheeks and apply the dark color into the sunken in area.  Add the lighter color to the cheek bones themselves.

Eyes:  To make your eyes pop, apply a light, shimmery eye shadow to the entire lid and the dark color along the bone above the lid.

The most important part of contouring comes last: blending.  When applying the light and dark colors, just put a stripe across each area.  Then, blend both colors together so no lines are visible.  The result?  A picture perfect face!

Enjoy experimenting with makeup!

Love,

            Chelsea

S"mores Krispie Treats

S"mores Krispie Treats
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/Chelsea-Crockett-Smores-Treats.jpg

Everyone knows the rule: don’t go on Pinterest when you’re hungry! Unfortunately, I’m now craving a chocolatey treat. I found a recipe for s’mores krispie treats and they look to die for! They’re simple to make and fun for a summer treat. Here’s what you need to know:

First comes first, ingredients… You’ll need 3 tablespoons of butter, a pinch salt, 5 cups of mini marshmallows, 6 cups of Graham cereal pieces, and 3 Hershey’s® chocolate bars. First off, melt the butter in a pot and stir in the salt. Chelsea Crockett - Smores Krispie TreatsStir in 4 cups of marshmallows in the melted butter until they’re completely melted as well. Take the pot off of heat and stir in the cereal and the extra cup of mini marshmallows. For the next part, make sure your Hershey’s® bars are broken into individual squares (it’s easiest to do this before you start the process to save time). Spray a pan with cooking spray and quickly pour in half of your mixture onto the pan. Add a layer of broken chocolate pieces on top of the mixture. Repeat this step again by adding the second half of the mixture followed by the rest of the chocolate pieces. Let it sit overnight or in the refrigerator for an hour.

Lastly, enjoy! YUM!

New & Improved NYX Lips!

New & Improved NYX Lips!
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2015/07/Chelsea-Crockett-NYX-Lip-Product.jpg

At Beautycon last weekend, I got to take home a NYX beauty bag filled with tons of wonderful NYX products! One of which was the soft matte lip cream. I brought home not only one of these but around ten different colored creams! I wanted to give you a little review based off of my personal usage of it :).Chelsea Crockett - NYX Lip Cream

I was super excited to try out this product to see if it was all it claimed to be. I had tried matte lip creams before, some good and some not-so-good, so I was curious to see how this cream would compare to the rest. I gotta say, it was amazing! Only about 10-15 seconds after I applied it, the cream started to dry and looked perfect! There wasn’t any cracking or rubbing off, even after I licked my lips or took a drink. Even the pastel purple color covered all off my pink lips. The cream settled to a matte finish and was one of the only few matte creams to actually work the way it was supposed to!

NYX’s soft matte lip cream was definitely one you should try out for yourself! I promise, you won’t regret it :).

XO, Chelsea
