When I have time, I love to hit the gym and workout.  With that being said, I’d be lying if I said I never break a sweat when I exercise.  You might not even be aware of what can happen to your body after going to the gym, but here are a few reasons why you should always change out of your clothes after a hard workout!


  • We all know how acne appears right?  When our pores get clogged, especially after a sweaty workout, acne starts to pop up around our body, not just face.  Leaving damp, dirty clothes on for long periods of time suffocates and clogs our pores!Chelsea Crockett - Exercise

  • Okay, this one might be the grossest.  Bacterial infections love to feed off of sweat.  When you leave on damp, sweaty clothing, you’re leaving little to no room for your skin to breathe.  This is the perfect opportunity for bacteria to grow! 

  • When it comes to feet, we all know they can get pretty smelly at times.  If you’re someone that works out every day and leaves your socks and shoes on for hours at a time, they have no room to air out!

  • A lot of the time when we workout, we wear tight clothing such as leggings, sports bras, tanks, etc.  Just like acne, inflamed hair follicles can appear from suffocating your pores.  If you’ve ever had one before, you know how uncomfortable and painful they can be!

Crazy, right?  Well, now you know!  Make sure you’re always keeping your body clean and fresh!

One of my favorite parts of 2017 are all of the new summer and spring fashion campaigns that are being launched!  Brands know how to get the hype up about their new and upcoming lines.  The brands who have the best campaigns usually have the best lines that you’re guaranteed to fall in love with!Chelsea Crockett - Coach Campaign


  • Coach.  The picture on the right shows one of the many photos that are included in Coach’s spring/summer campaign.  Chloe Grace Moretz models all of the new stylish bags in front of the New York skyline… So pretty!  I can’t wait for all the new accessories to hit the stores!

  • Nike.  Nike’s new campaign is a series of unique pictures that show its models pulling off different moves and rocking what’s to come these next couple of seasons.  Like I’ve mentioned before I love to work out, so I can’t wait to see what new gear will be released!

  • Guess.  Guess may be on the pricier side, but it’s campaign starring Hailey Baldwin has me super curious about what all they’ll be launching this spring/summer!  It seems as though they’re focusing on a more retro look for their upcoming lines.  I guess we’ll have to stay tuned to find out! 🙂

We all know it is way better for our hair to be air-dried, but sometimes we just don’t have the time to let it air dry. Whether you only use your blow dryer occasionally or use it every day, it is important to the health of your hair to be smart about drying. Experts recommend leaving your blow-dryer on the medium setting. Just because it is hotter and higher and dries your hair faster doesn’t mean it is better for your hair! If your hair is thin, damaged, or colored, you should stick to a lower setting for extra heat protection. To avoid even more damage, here are three more things you can do.


  1. Use natural shampoo and conditioner: Using a natural shampoo and conditioner combo keeps your hair as nourished as possible, and these products are free from sulfates and other damaging ingredients.

  2. Use 2 methods of drying: To keep your hair damage to a minimum, air dry it for a bit before blow drying it. Experts recommend letting it air dry 80%, then finishing the last 20% of drying with your blow-dryer.

When I work out, I want to get the most out of it. I am a busy gal, much like all of you, and the little time I have to work out has to be maximized! There are a few things that can limit the effectiveness/how much you get out of your workout, and most of them are done even before you start your exercise routine! Here are 4 things to NEVER do before you work out.


  1. Chug a lot of water at once: Drinking a glass of water before a

    workout is no biggie, it can actually help fuel your run or workout routine! But drinking a lot of water before you hit the gym can actually cause you feel really full and prevent you from having a good workout.water-bottle-fluoride-400x400

  2. Stress out: When yourbody is under stress, it releases a hormone that is a “muscle killer.” It tells your body to store fat, and it breaks down your muscle tissue. So, when you are prepping for a workout, try to leave stress at the door.

  3. Drink a cuppa Joe: It goes with the tip above. Caffeine in coffee can lead to higher levels of stress hormones in your body, which we mentioned above is not good. It can also cause dehydration and rapid heartbeat!

  4. Workout hungry: Not good! Food is fuel, and before you burn calories you actually need to intake some! Now, this doesn’t mean have a heavy meal, a banana or a bowl of cereal is always a good pre-workout snack.

If you want to maximize your workout don’t do these 4 things!

Our society is so focused on outside appearances, when what is the most beautiful about all of us is what is inside. I love doing my makeup…until it comes time to clean my makeup brushes. It can take forever and is a pretty messy process. I recently saw a tool that makes brush cleaning super easy, and it is the Sigma Brush Cleaning Mat. It has a textured surface that gets brushes super clean and makes them look brand new! The only problem with the mat? It is pricey. So, I went on YouTube and learned how to make my very own makeup brush cleaning mat for $5. Here is how!


What you will need:


  • Plastic clipboardbustle (2)

  • Glue gun

Head to the dollar store and pick up a plastic clipboard. The next step is to draw different textures onto the board with hot glue. Once your glue gun is warmed up and ready, draw some short straight lines down the center of the board with the glue. Next, draw on some zig zags. The goal is to create as many different shapes as possible to help clean every nook and cranny of your brushes. Next add small dots. Then add larger dots. The larger dots will be ideal for your larger and dirtier brushes. Once you have added your larger dots, cover the rest of the mat with different patterns so there is no empty space. Once the board is dry, it is time to try it out! Coat your dirty brushes with brush cleaning gel or shampoo and then rub them in circular motions against the mat. You should be seeing makeup streaming from the brushes. After you are done, just clip the handles of your brushes under the top of the clip board and leave them to dry for an hour or two.


Voila! Your brushes are as good as new, and you got to create a fun DIY to do the trick! Once your board starts to get grubby and dirty, you can simply throw it away and make a new one.

Was one of your New Year’s Resolutions to drop a few pounds? If so, then you need to know that you can use your breakfast as a tool to lose weight! Here is the perfect breakfast equation to help you start seeing results.


  1. Calories: Aim to consume about 300-350 calories at breakfast.

  2. Carbs: Your breakfast should be 45-50% carbs. Skip sugary foods or foods with enriched white flour, and choose whole grains, fruits, and veggies.DSC_4737

  3. Protein: 15-20% of your breakfast calorie intake should be protein. Getting protein at breakfast is key to keeping you satisfied throughout the morning. Eggs, dairy products, soy milk, protein powder in smoothies, and nuts and seeds are great sources of protein.

  4. Fats: Your breakfast should be about 10-15 grams of fat. This doesn’t mean bacon or cheese, it means nuts and seeds, avocado, and nut butter like peanut or almond butter!

  5. Fiber: ¼ of your daily fiber intake should be in the morning. Berries, apples, pears, greens, and other veggies, nuts and whole grains can help you get to your goals.

  6. Sugars: Use sweeteners like maple syrup, agave and honey in your breakfasts to avoid overdoing the sugar. Also, if you are eating fruits in the morning, they have natural sugars in them.

Mornings are rough. Your alarm goes off, you switch from PJs to something decent, and then run out the door to work or school. Finding time for a nutritious and tasty breakfast is doubtful. That is where this recipe comes in! Make these yummy oatmeal bars the night before and you will have a protein packed and delicious, quick breakfast.download


Ingredients:


  • 1 cup almond butter

  • 3 ounces vanilla protein powder

  • ½ cup maple syrup

  • 2 eggs

  • 2 cups rolled oats

  • ½ cup unsweetened coconut

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9 by 11 inch pan with non-stick spray. Mix almond butter, protein powder, and maple syrup in a small bowl with an electric mixer, then beat in the eggs. Stir in the rolled oats, baking soda, and coconut and mix well. Pour the mixture into the baking dish and firmly press it down into the pan with the back of a spoon. Bake the bars for 12 minutes or until the top gets slightly brown. Let them cool, then cut them into squares. Store them in an airtight container and grab one and go in the mornings!


Enjoy this yummy, filling, and easy breakfast!

Social media is one of the biggest things of our generation.  About 99% of the people I know have at least one form of it, even my parents and grandparents!  If you’ve been keeping up with my channel, then you’ve seen one of my recent videos talking about the power of social media and why it’s so important.  I just wanted to expand on my thoughts on how our generation can use social media for the right reasons!

For me, I live a lot of my life on YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, etc.  With the following I have, I feel like God has given me a platform to help further His kingdom by posting different verses, quotes, or my own thoughts that have impacted me.  That being said, I use social media as a way to spread the love of God to all of my followers because I believe in the power of social media!  My point is not that you need to tweet about God or the Bible.  My point is that social media can make a different and it DOES make a difference.  That’s why being positive and solely uplifting is more important than you think!  If you’re only logging on to complain or post negatively, then maybe you should rethink why you have social media in the first place.    


Start using social media to spread love instead of hate!  If we as a generation made this our mission, we’d be unstoppable! 🙂

Along with a stylish outfit and killer makeup, you’ll need some festive nails to complete your Valentine’s Day look!  Instead of getting your nails done for your special night, I found three different designs you can try out for yourself.  I think they’re fairly simply to do even if nails aren’t your thing!


  • If you like going all out, then the design on the right is for you! Chelsea Crockett - Love Nails I stumbled upon it on Pinterest and love it.  If you have a steady enough hand to attempt it, give it a try!  You might even be able to find nail stickers if you’re not artistic enough.  I’m in love with how festive and creative it is!   

  • If you like to keep it simple, I recommend painting your nails white to start off.  Then, add a black or red heart on your ring finger!  You can even add some glitter on top to make it pop.

  • I love using super thin nail polish brushes to decorate my nails.  It makes creating a design SO much easier!  Take one of these and paint the tip of an arrow on your middle finger.  Then finish it off by painting the end of the arrow on your ring finger to create the full arrow illusion!  Use either pink or red as the base and paint the arrow in white.  It’s so cute and outside the box!

If there is one thing I wish I could get more of, it is sleep. Napping is one of my favorite hobbies. Staying up late sounds good at the time, but the next day is sooooo not as fun. Makeup can hide the bags under your eyes, but it can’t disguise your exhaustion! Here are 3 reasons why you should be getting more sleep, for your skin’s sake.


  1. Sped up aging process: When you don’t get enough sleep, your skin suffers. It speeds up the aging process of your skin and makes it dry out faster.

  2. Increased Cortisol levels: Cortisol is a stress hormone, and when you don’t catch enough zzzz’s, it gets all out of whack. Cortisol can also cause acne and trigger some skin conditions like eczema, or it can make your pimples worse!

  3. It changes your growth hormones: Sleep deprivation also causes decreases in growth hormones that help thicken and moisturize your skin. This leads to dehydrated skin and, like we said above, faster signs of aging! Want glowing skin? Then you need those growth hormones!

Moral of the story? Sleep keeps your skin looking better and younger. Getting your beauty rest is so worth it!

Relationships are fun. Having someone you can talk to and spend time with is a great feeling. But, have you ever been in a relationship and felt a little uneasy about it? Like, you have a nagging feeling in the back of your mind that something is a little off or just isn’t right. Don’t ignore that feeling! It could be a sign that the relationship isn’t meant to be. Here are 5 red flags to look out for while dating.


  1. They don’t initiate hanging out: One of the worst feelings is when you have to initiate every time you guys hang out. He never asks if you want to do something, you always have to ask. Girls like to be pursued! You having to make every move is a sign that the relationship may be a little one-sided.

  2. They’re always “too busy” or “too tired”: We make time for the people we care about and want to see, and if they are always making excuses for why they can’t hang out, that’s a red flag!

  3. They never pay for anything: Splitting the bill at dinner is totally great, but sometimes it also feels great to be treated to dinner! If you are always splitting or even paying for your dates, things need to be re-evaluated.

  4. They take a day or two to respond to a text: We are all busy, and sometimes it takes me a few hours to respond to text messages, but there is a difference between being too busy to answer and taking forever just because you can. Texting games are no fun! If they can answer the text in a timely manner, they should.

  5. All they want to DO is text: This reminds me of me and my first “boyfriend.” All he wanted to do was text and never wanted to hang out! If you’re dating a guy and he is all talk (or text, for that matter) and no action, dump him. If he won’t hang out with you in person, just text you, that is more like a virtual boyfriend, and that’s not what you signed up for!

So, if you just started dating a guy, or if you have been dating them for a few months, watch out for these red flag warning signs. If your guy does these things, it might be time to show him to the door!

When I run out of my favorite tube of lipstick, a little part of me dies inside. Okay, that’s probably a little too dramatic, but I’m sure you can agree that it is a total bummer! Yes, you can just go to the store and get a new one, but sometimes that color or brand is no longer available. Also, why not try and use every last bit of yours? Here are a few ways to get the most out of your makeup and make it last a bit longer.


  1. Repair broken eyeshadow, blush, or face powder with a dab of rubbing alcohol. Do you have a tray of blush that you only used twice before you dropped it and cracked it? No worries. Crush the rest of it up, then add a few drops of rubbing alcohol to it and mix it together. Smooth it out so that it is spread out and even, and then let it dry! Good as new.7191624_orig

  2. Keep your powders from breaking altogether by placing a cotton pad in them while traveling or when they are in your bag.

  3. Reattach broken lipstick using heat. Have a parent help you, and use a lighter to heat the broken ends of your lipstick, then reattach them together.

  4. Let your mascara sit in a glass of warm water to loosen it up when it is getting dry and clumpy. If it really needs some thinning, add some drops of contact solution to it.

  5. Put on primer before doing your eyeshadow. This one is a wee bit different from the others, but it really does help your makeup go further because you don’t have to use as much to make it stand out!

Makeup is expensive, we all know that! Hopefully these tips help you get your money’s worth out of your favorite products.

The words “healthy” and “cake” don’t usually go together in the same sentence. Well, today they do! If you are looking for a yummy, quick and healthy way to curb your sweet tooth, then look no further. Here is a recipe for a delicious, moist, cinnamon roll inspired mug cake that takes one minute to make. It is also gluten free for all of my gluten free gals out there!healthy-low-carb-cinnamon-doughnut-mug-cake-5


Ingredients:


  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder

  • ½ teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 tablespoon coconut flour

  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar

  • 1 large egg

  • ¼ cup of milk

  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar

  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon

Grease a large mug of your choice with cooking spray and add the protein powder, baking powder, coconut flour, cinnamon, and sugar and mix well. Add the eggs and mix them in, then do the same with the milk and vanilla. Mix the teaspoon of sugar and some extra cinnamon and swirl them over the top of the batter. Microwave the mug for a minute and voila, delicious mug cake!

Have you ever felt a little confused or lost about what God’s calling is for you? Sometimes you see people who seem to have fulfilled their God-given calling by using their gifts to work in ministry or an organization or business and wish that you could feel the same sense of purpose. The truth is, you are not alone. Many Christians around the world become confused about what God has called them to do. To me, everyone has multiple purposes in their life and doesn’t just have one main purpose. I think everyone has a personal purpose, a purpose with their family, and a purpose to others. If you have ever been confused about what God is calling you to do or have no idea what God wants to happen in your life, here are three ways that I have found God shows these things to you.


  1. Look at your past experiences: Many times God allows us to go through something and overcome it so that we can have the desire to help others get through the same thing. Your advice and experience may mean the world to someone. Helping others gives you purpose and inspires others to do the same.FullSizeRender (80)

  2. Other people’s stories: Sometimes when we feel like we don’t know our purpose we can be inspired by others. For example, maybe you went on a mission trip and were impacted greatly by the people you met and the lack of food and basic needs that were not being met, and this inspired you to want to help them. Seeing other’s needs and hearing their stories gave you motivation and you found purpose in helping make their lives better.

  3. Wanting to change: If other people’s stories or even your own story doesn’t help you to identify your purpose, then ask yourself the question “What do I want to change about myself?” or “What do I want to change about the world?” It doesn’t have to be something super deep or drastic, it can even be something as simple as wanting other young women like yourself to feel valued and loved by God. This desire could guide you to finding purpose in helping others or even bettering yourself.

God has a purpose for your life, even when it may not seem that way! He loves you like crazy, and he knows what you are capable of.

I have heard way too many girls say that they don’t have many girl friends because “There’s too much drama” or “Too much judgement.” Our society tries to pit females against each other and dramatizes female conflict and makes everything seem like it is one big competition, when really we should be on the same team and working with each other to be better friends. I don’t doubt for one minute that you are a great friend who supports your gal pals, but like I said, we live in a world where it is often easy and sometimes encouraged to be a bad friend. Here are a few things you may not be aware you are doing, but they can be making you a bad friend.


  1. Jealousy: it can be difficult not to feel jealous when you see your bff getting her dream job, taking an incredible trip, or gaining huge achievements. But, nothing good comes from playing the

    comparison game. It just brings you down and makes you feel inadequate. It can also make your friend upset if you aren’t happy for her and her successes. Be happy for her achievements! It will make your life much more joyful, and she will be more likely to celebrate yours.FullSizeRender (79)

  2. You see her has competition: There are always going to be women that are more successful than you. Instead of making it feel like life is a competition and comparing yourself to them, take pride in what YOU have accomplished. You are also an amazing person, and are doing incredible things, so take pride in that. Not everything has to be a competition!

  3. You tend to judge her: If your friends do things you don’t agree with or approve of, let them know how their actions make you feel. Share your thoughts and feelings with them in a respectful manner instead of letting your judgements cloud your view of them. When they hear the way you feel, they will be able to respect your opinions.

Be supportive, caring, kind and a team player. That’s the key to being a great friend!

Right now is a tense time for our country and our world. People are angry, hurt, confused, fed up, and 24f4701439373f95b9631f4a8a6d7bd5because of these emotions their attitudes can become tainted. I have witnessed how nasty people can become with their words and actions through the news and on social media, and I have a reminder for all of you out there: even if we disagree about everything, we can still be kind to each other.


Kindness is a courtesy we should all show each other. Being kind is so important during these times. Kindness can mean more to someone than you know. They may be having a terrible day, and your kind word or actions can change their whole outlook. Also, as a Christian, I find that my kindness acts as a witness of my faith. People notice when you are kind, and they ask how you can be that way even when it would be so much easier to be mean or rude. Jesus called us to be kind and be a witness to the world of His love.


Be kind, even on your bad days. You never know who may be watching you and may be impacted by your actions.

What is pore filler? What does it do? Well, to be honest, it does exactly what the name says, it fills your pores! I’ll explain what it is and why you should give it a try.


What it is: Pore filler helps to erase the look of large pores. You smooth it on your face like you would a makeup primer before applying your face makeup.2503344


Why to use it: If you have large pores or just want to cover up your pores, this is for you. Using this can help smooth inconsistencies and large pores to help your makeup go on smoother. It also helps combat oily skin, because the larger your pores are the more oily your skin is!


The best products: NYX and Benefit Cosmetics both have great pore fillers. Baby Skin also has one called “Instant Pore Eraser” that I have used and definitely recommend. Pore fillers can actually be pretty pricey, so my recommendation is to either ask for a sample or buy the smallest bottle you can so that if it doesn’t work for you, you aren’t stuck with a ton of it!

I am not a huge “New Year’s Resolution” kind of girl, I prefer to just make goals. One of my goals this year is to eat healthier, so I have been looking for healthy recipes and healthy snack alternatives to help me reach my goal. That is when I came across the recipe for zucchini chips! They are low carb, low fat, salt-and-pepper-baked-zucchini-chips-700x980and are only 40 calories per serving! Count me IN. Here is how to easily make your own.


Ingredients:


  • 1 large zucchini

  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil

  • Salt

Preheat your oven to 225 degrees and line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Slice your zucchini in thin slices and lay the slices on paper towels. Pat the moisture from the zucchini so that it will cook faster, then add them to a large bowl. Pour your olive oil into the bowl and mix the slices with the oil so that they are all evenly coated. Next, lay the slices out on the baking sheet and sprinkle salt over them. Make sure not to over-salt them! Bake the chips for 2 hours or until they start to turn brown and aren’t soggy any more. Take them out of the oven, let them cool, and then store them in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Trust me, they won’t last that long, they are just too good!

Social media drama: Whether it be Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, we have all been involved in it one way or another, whether we were the one who started it or an innocent bystander. Whatever the case, it is never a pleasant experience. As a Christian I try to hold myself to a code of higher “social media ethics” and take the higher road, but petty arguments, rude comments, and subtweets sometimes test my patience. To avoid the hurt, annoyance, and all around nastiness of social media drama, here are 5 ways to avoid it that are inspired by the Bible.


  1. Never comment when you are angry: Proverbs 15:1 says: “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh answer stirs up anger.” Your quick-tempered comment might sound great today, but tomorrow you will probably regret it.

  2. Tame your jealousy monster: So your best friend and her boyfriend are totally cute and post completely adorable selfies all over their timeline and you are 100% single. So what? Be happy that they are happy! Social media brings out the jealousy in all of us, but just remember that although they take cute pictures and make cute statuses, things aren’t always flowers and rainbows for them.

  3. WWJP?: This stands for “what would Jesus post?” and this is pretty self-explanatory. It goes for comments as well as posts. Knowing what is appropriate to post and what isn’t will save you lots of drama in the long run!

  4. Forgive and forget: As Elsa would say, “Let it go!” Let your social media grudge go. Jesus calls us to forgive. Yeah, it is hard, but you will be so much better for it in the end!01250cc2d6220796a463b5c7b03a476e

Social media can be great, don’t get me wrong, but sometimes it can be more of a hassle than anything! As the Bible says in Philippians 4:8, we are to focus on the things that are right and noble and pure and admirable. This goes for Facebook! Let your page reflect you as a Christ follower and let it be a platform for God to use you as an example for others!

Just because it is winter time does not mean that you can forget about sunscreen. While the sun isn’t toasting us like it does in the summer time, its UV rays are just as powerful as they are in the summer. That means that you still need sunscreen. There are a few surprising places on our bodies that need sunscreen that I had no clue about. Here are the five unsuspecting places so that you can protect them and save your skin the damage.


  1. Scalp: A sunburned scalp is possibly the most painful sunburn you can get. It can be itchy and flaky and can hurt so bad when you are trying to brush and style your hair. If you are going to be outside for a long period of time without a hat on, apply hair sunscreen to your scalp.49121577

  2. Ears: Your ears are exposed to a ton of sun, whether you are driving in the car or going for a walk. Make sure to keep them protected by putting a little bit of sunscreen on the tops of them.

  3. Eyelids: I never think about my eyelids getting sunburned, which makes it that much more important to protect them! You can put some gentle sunscreen on them, or just make sure you are wearing sunglasses during extended outside time.

  4. Lips: Your lips are a really sensitive area of your face, which makes them prone to sunburn. Most lip balms have SPF in them already, but if you know you will be outside a lot, grab one that is meant to protect you from UV rays.

I am a huge advocate for doing everything you can to protect your skin. It is the largest organ in our body, and it is also the most sensitive and exposed! Keep your skin cancer-free, damage-free, and wrinkle-free by using sunscreen, even when you don’t think you need it.

It’s that time of year again: cold, flu, and low-immune system time. Even people with the healthiest diets can fall victim to sickness. Here are a few foods to help you recover faster and feel better when you are under the weather.


  1. Liquids: Lots of liquids! You may not feel like eating solid foods, but you need to make sure you are taking in a lot of fluids. Teas like ginger and peppermint tea and ginger ale are great if you have an upset stomach, and hot liquids such as tea with lemon help with a stuffy nose. Green tea with honey also supports your immune system and coats a sore throat.imageservice

  2. Yogurt: Studies have shown that the probiotics in yogurt shorten colds and the flu by almost two days!

  3. Citrus fruits: Oranges, grapefruits, lemons and limes contain flavonoids which increase immune system activity.

  4. Protein: Easily digestible proteins like eggs or yogurt are great for your body when you are sick because protein strengthens your body. These two options are also really easy to make so you don’t have to spend much energy on them.

  5. Glutathione: It is a long word, but it is a powerful antioxidant that fights infection. It is found in watermelon, broccoli, collard greens, kale, and cabbage.

Being sick is the worst, so that is why God gave us foods to help us recover and feel better!

The best part about beauty hacks is that you can discover hidden makeup tools almost anywhere around your house.  One of my favorite “tools” that’s a life saver when it comes to perfecting eye makeup is your everyday kitchen spoon!  Spoons come with tons of hacks that allow you to have killer eye makeup even if it’s not your area of expertise. :)


  • When it comes to winged eyeliner, it can be extremely hard to master.  If you’re new to the winged world, try setting a spoon against your eye socket with the curved side of it outlining where your wing is going to start.  You may have to try it a couple times or even look up a tutorial to make sure you’re doing it just right!Chelsea Crockett - Spoon Eyeliner Hack

  • If you hate that mascara residue that ends up on your eyelids and under your eyes, try out this hack!  Take a spoon and set it under your bottom lashes or on your eyelids when applying mascara.  It’ll catch any smears or residue that wants to mess up your look!

  • Placing the curvature of the spoon under the arch of your eyebrow helps you create the sharpest bottom edge of your brow.  Try it out, I promise it works!

  • When it comes to eyes, making them look refreshed and healthy is a number one priority!  Take a metal spoon and leave it in the freezer for a half hour or so before you apply your makeup.  Apply your cold spoon to the bags under your eyes or on any redness you want to disappear.  It’ll make the areas around your eyes look brighter and better!

What is pore filler? What does it do? Well, to be honest, it does exactly what the name says, it fills your pores! I’ll explain what it is and why you should give it a try.


What it is: Pore filler helps to erase the look of large pores. You smooth it on your face like you would a makeup primer before applying your face makeup.2503344


Why to use it: If you have large pores or just want to cover up your pores, this is for you. Using this can help smooth inconsistencies and large pores to help your makeup go on smoother. It also helps combat oily skin, because the larger your pores are the more oily your skin is!


The best products: NYX and Benefit Cosmetics both have great pore fillers. Baby Skin also has one called “Instant Pore Eraser” that I have used and definitely recommend. Pore fillers can actually be pretty pricey, so my recommendation is to either ask for a sample or buy the smallest bottle you can so that if it doesn’t work for you, you aren’t stuck with a ton of it!
