Life Lessons from Job 18:11

Life Lessons from Job 18:11

Job 18:11 says “Having hope will give you courage.” In this next season in my life, and a lot of your lives if you are starting college soon, we

will need a lot of courage.

Courage to defend our Faith, courage to do life how we know we should, not how society says we should, and courage to step out in the adventure that is college. When Job says that having hope will give you courage, I think this means a few things. I think that first, this means having hope in Jesus and His promise to guide your life and bless you in ways you cannot imagine. And two, I think this means that you need to have hope in the tough times and in the times when it is hard to find hope. Hope will give you courage to move forward.

So, have hope, even in the hard times, because that will give you courage. The world needs more courageous women like you!

Transition Your Makeup from Summer to Fall

Transition Your Makeup from Summer to Fall
https://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/chelsea-crockett-transition-your-makeup-from-summer-to-fall.jpg

Fall is still a pretty long way off, but it is never too early to start planning ahead. Did you know that your makeup looks can change and update throughout the seasons? Here is how to transition our makeup routines from summer to fall.

During the summer months, our skin becomes clearer because of the increased sun exposure. This means we can wear a lighter coverage foundation! We need to be wearing makeup with SPF in it during these months to protect our skin from damaging rays (and every month for that matter). Also, summertime is a great time to use bronzers to achieve a healthy glow and an easy contour. Eye makeup colors that are perfect for summer are golden and peachy colors. Great lip colors are sheer and natural hues.

Fall colors are all about warmth and depth. The landscape is changing, so our makeup should too! Burgundy eye shadows and natural smoky eyes are great looks. Also, metallic liners are a fun bold addition. Warm colors on the lips such as berry, plum, or warm pink are great to pair with those eye shades. Using light bronzer can help add a little warmth to your skin, and using highlighter can help brighten and lighten your complexion.

Each season gives you new opportunities to try new things. It is so fun to experiment with different color combos and shades! Let your creativity shine through and it will give you so much confidence!

XOXO, Chels

5 Types of Breakups Every Girl Goes Through

5 Types of Breakups Every Girl Goes Through
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/Chelsea-Crockett-Breakups.jpg

All of us girls can agree on one thing: breakups are the worst.  No one enjoys breaking it off with someone or especially being broken up with!  Although they’re never fun, there are some breakups that are better than others.  Here are 5 different types of breakups that most of us have experienced at least once!

  1. The friendly breakup.  Aren’t these the best?  You know and agree that you both aren’t right for each other so you end on a civil note.  You can still have friendly conversations without it being awkward or hostile!

  2. The heartbreaking breakup.  These breakups are the ones you never ever want to experience.  They’re the breakups that leave you with sleepless nights and lots of heartache.  If you’ve experienced this before, just know you’re not alone!

  3. The angry breakup.  Having built up grudges and anger especially at the end of a breakup makes parting ways 10x harder.  I know for me, I hate when people are mad at me or when a situation leaves me boiling up inside!

  4. The one-sided breakup.  Depending on what side you’re on, you can either leave feeling relieved or extremely heartbroken.  It’s the worst when you’re more invested in someone than they are in you.

  5. The end result breakup.  This is the breakup that you both expected no matter how much you wanted to deny it.  I think we’ve all experienced this at some point in our dating life.  You didn’t want to admit it, but you knew breaking up would be the end result!

Which breakup do you think is the worst?  One day we’ll have a relationship that won’t ever have to end in a breakup!

DIY Coconut Oil Face Wash

DIY Coconut Oil Face Wash
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/chelsea-crockett-DIY-Coconut-Oil-Face-Wash.jpg

I love going and getting a facial. They are so relaxing, and so good for your skin! The bummer is that they are typically expensive, which means I can’t get them as often as I would like. I asked the facial technician if there was anything I can do at home to help keep my skin clear and healthy in-between facials, and she said that it is so important to exfoliate. She told me that it doesn’t have to be expensive, it can be as simple as using baking soda! So when I got home, I did some research and found an awesome tutorial for a simple and healthy face exfoliant. This scrub cleans your skin, kills bacteria, and clears the dirt and dead skin from your pores. Plus the ingredients are really commonly used, so you probably have them sitting around your house right now! Here is how to make it:

        1 tablespoon coconut oil

        1 teaspoon baking soda

        (optional) 5 drops essential oils

Take the coconut oil in a medium sized bowl and melt it a bit if it is solid. Add baking soda slowly and stir it until it is well mixed. Finally, add essential oil and stir again. To use this scrub, take a teaspoon of it and gently scrub it on your face for about 30 seconds, then rinse it off.

This scrub not only fights acne, but it can also help reduce acne scarring by removing the layers of scarred skin over time! I love using natural products on my face, don’t you?

XOXO,

Chels
