As you all know, I have looooong locks. Sometimes I like to try out DIY shampoos to give my hair a break from all of the harsh chemicals in regular shampoo. Want to tone down frizz and help your natural waves shine through? Try this DIY honey shampoo! Here are a few of the benefits of using it:

  • Do you have dandruff? The pH of honey is the same pH of your scalp, so it balances it out and fights dandruff?

  • Honey moisturizes your hair and since it doesn’t strip your hair of its natural oils, your hair will be softer with less frizz!

Ingredients1 honey

  • Raw honey

  • Filtered water

  • A few drops of essential oils

Make the shampoo fresh each time to prevent it from spoiling. The ratio is as follows: 1 Tbs. raw honey and 3 Tbs. filtered water. If you need to, heat the mixture over very low heat to help dissolve the honey. Add essential oils if you want to have some good smellin shampoo! Wet your hair, then massage a little of the shampoo into your scalp and then distribute it all over your hair. Let it sit, and then rinse it out!

Get ready for soft, healthy hair!
