Chic Ways to Rock a Sweatshirt!

Chic Ways to Rock a Sweatshirt!
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/Chelsea-Crockett-style-sweatshirts.jpg

Do you ever roll out of bed, throw on a sweatshirt with a pair of sweatpants and run out the door?  It’s such an easy outfit and super comfortable.  So what about those days you feel like wearing your favorite hoodie or sweatshirt, but still want to look nice?  I’ll show you a few simple ways to style an ordinary hoodie and make it extraordinary!   Chelsea Crockett- sweatshirt and button up

Vintage hoodies are the greatest.  Ask your parents if they have a sweatshirt from their collage days that you could style.  It’s no problem if they are over-sized!  For a simpler look, throw on an over-sized sweatshirt, a pair of leggings, leather boots, and an infinity scarf.  It’s a cozy look, but the boots make it look dressier.  For a dressier look, try wearing a button up shirt under your crew neck sweatshirt and pull the sleeves and collar through the openings.  Roll the sleeves of the shirt and crew neck, throw on a pair of skinny jeans and flats, and add a little bling like a chunky necklace for the final touch.  This look is so classy, yet comfortable.

If you have a solid or subtle colored crew neck, one with little print, try pairing it with some crazy prints.  Don’t be afraid to wear a pair of floral skinny jeans or a polka dot mini skirt. This is definitely the girly way to style a crew neck.  Next time you go to put on a sweatshirt, don’t just go for a pair of sweatpants.  Be a fashionista and turn heads with your creative styling!

Chelsea

The Many Uses Of The Common Button Up

The Many Uses Of The Common Button Up
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/Chelsea-Crockett-button-ups.jpg

What would you say if a button up could turn a dress into a skirt, be turned into a crop top, and be used as a jacket?  While it may sound too good to be true, it is possible!  Button ups are a must for every closet and have so many purposes.  I’ll show you how to turn these shirts into a completely different outfit!  Get the most use out of your clothing!

To make a summer skirt, put on a sun dress or tight body con dress and wear a sheer or solid button up over it.  Button your shirt all the way up, but leave the last two buttons unbuttoned.  Tie the bottom of your shirt and it will give the illusion that you are wearing a skirt and top!  To make a winter skirt, do the same thing, but wear a maxi dress.  Pair it with a pair of combat boots and you’re good to go!  Making a crop top is very similar.  Tie your top the same and pair with high waisted shorts.  It’s such an effortless look!Chelsea Crockett- button up with dress

Lastly, a button up can be used as the perfect light summer jacket.  I love using denim button ups and bring it almost everywhere.  Whenever you get chilly, slip it on and leave it open and you’ve got a quick jacket!  It’s pretty stylish too!  Check out these button ups from Amazon and comment below if you have another fun way to rock a button up!

Xoxo,

How to: Denim Button Ups

How to: Denim Button Ups
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/007-300x3001.jpg

One of the biggest fashion trends out there at the moment is denim button ups.  They are a must for any closet!  The perfect denim button up can be dressed up or dressed down and is perfect for any occasion.  The possibilities for wearing your denim button up are endless and I’m going to show you a few of my favorite ways to rock a denim button up!

Denim button ups can be purchased almost anywhere;  American Eagle and Forever21 are two great places to look.  The simplest way to wear a denim button up is un-tucked with a pair of pants.  As long as they are two different shades, don’t be afraid to rock denim on denim.  Otherwise, wear your button up with a pair of colored pants or shorts.  For cool summer nights, using your denim button up as a jacket is great too.  Just throw it on and leave it open with a tank and pair of cute, printed shorts and you’re good to go! Chelsea Crockett- denim button ups

For a dressier look, tuck your denim button up into a pencil skirt and pair it with a pair for wedges for a cute, business causal look.  It’s great for church too! Laughing Another dressy way to wear a denim button up is with a dress.  It looks best with a floral print or solid color dress.  Wear your button up open with your dress to have a casual, yet dressy look at the same time.  A denim button up is one of the most versatile items you can own.  Try coming up with your own denim button up looks and share them with me below!!

Xoxo,
