Butterfinger Ice Cream Pumpkins

When you saw the title of this blog, did it make you drool a little bit? Don’t be ashamed if it did, because I totally drooled too. It is drool worthy! In celebration of the wonderful, pumpkin-filled season that is autumn, I have decided to share yet another pumpkin inspired recipe! This one is a cool, sweet, crunchy treat that is sure to be a crowd fav.

Ingredients:

  • Dreyer’s Butterfinger ice cream

  • Fun-size Butterfinger candy bars

  • Chocolate chips

  • Green gummy candy

Place unwrapped fun-size Butterfingers in a plastic bag and crush them with a rolling pin. Place the crushed candy on a plate and roll a scoop of Butterfinger ice cream into the crumbs, making sure the whole ball of ice cream is covered. Place each rolled scoop into a small serving bowl and decorate them like Jack-O-Lanterns with chocolate chips! Use green gummies for the stem.

Sweet pumpkin treats, no carving required! 😉

XOXO, Chels

Pumpkin French Toast

Pumpkin French Toast
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/chelsea-crockett-Pumpkin-French-toast.jpg

Now that it is September, I am gearing up for everything pumpkin flavored. Why not, right? You can never have too many pumpkin recipes, especially when you love fall as much as I do! I am a huge believer in breakfast. Not only is it super important in keeping you full of energy throughout the day, it also is super tasty. If you love pumpkin and French toast, then hold onto your hats, because I just put the two together. Boom.

Ingredients:

–          ¾ cup milkpumpkin-french-toast1

–          ½ cup pumpkin puree

–          4 eggs

–          2 tbsp packed light-brown sugar

–          1 tsp vanilla

–          1 tsp ground cinnamon

–          ¼ tsp ground nutmeg

–          9 slices of French bread

In a mixing bowl whisk together milk, pumpkin, eggs, brown sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined. Pour the mixture into a shallow bowl. Butter a skillet and dip your sliced bread into the egg mixture. Allow the bread to absorb the mixture and then put the slice on the skillet to cook until it is golden brown on the bottom, then flip the bread and cook it until that side is golden brown. Do these steps until all of your mixture has been used. Serve your yummy French toast with maple syrup and a little powdered sugar and you have a delicious, fall themed breakfast!

I cannot wait for my mom and I to cook up this recipe. Will YOU try it?

XOXO, Chels
