Half buns are all the rage. Now, this hair style won’t save your neck from sweating, but it WILL keep your hair out of your face in a casually chic way. That is all a girl can ask for in a hair style, is it not? Here is why this hairstyle is making waves.

1. It is a happy medium: If you want to wear your hair down but you also want it out of your face, then this hairdo is your bff. Instead of pulling back your bangs with a bobby pin, pull it up in a half up bun!
2. It is uber easy: It takes less than a minute. For real. Use a texture spray to give your hair some waves and grit. Take sections of hair from temple to temple and sit the knot high on your head if you have a short face. If you have a longer face or narrower forehead then position the knot towards the back of your head.
3. It is super stylish: Some of my favorite style icons have been putting their own spin on this style. And rightfully so! It looks so effortless and chic and the same time, and not a lot of hair styles can do that! Plus you can literally wear this hairstyle at any point in the day and to virtually any place, from the gym to dinner out!

I am sold. Half bun here I come!

When our parents were in high school, a way to show your girl that you wanted to “go steady” with them was to give them your letterman or “varsity” jacket. Nowadays, they are an up and coming fashion statement! I myself am rocking the trend, and I think that you should too! Here are a few ways to do it.

1. Layer it: Do you have a favorite hooded jacket or sweatshirt? Put it on and then layer your varsity jacket over it! Not only will this keep you warm, but it will also add character to your outfit. Add in a beanie and you will have a totally cozy combo.


2. Keep it simple: Pair your varsity jacket with your favorite pair of jeans and some white Keds. This gives your ensemble a little throwback flare and is nice and simple. If you want to add even more “cute” to the combo, braid your hair and add a ribbon to the bottom of it. Adorable!


3. Dress it up: If you want to take the dressier route, layer your letterman jacket over a dress or a skater skirt! It will give an edgy flare to your girly dress.
