Are you a prepster? I love dressing preppy, especially in spring! Here is a quick guide on the essential spring items that every preppy princess needs

Pastel Button Up- Button up Oxford shirts are a preppy essential. They are great transition pieces from winter to spring! Keep the sleeves low on chilly days, and roll them up when the weather gets warmer.

Floral Skirt- After months of covering up your legs against the chilly weather, let them be free! I love fun floral skirts with cute preppy prints, they make me feel so girly and flirty!

Bright bag- Bright colorful handbags are so refreshing after using earth tones and darker hue purses during fall and winter. These easily add a pop of color to any ensemble.

Tan trench coat: One of these is perfect for keeping you cozy on chilly spring mornings.

Colorful rain boots: Colorful rain boots are so much fun! Especially when you can splash through puddles in them. J

Cute Umbrella: We all know that April showers bring May flowers, so be prepared for those damp days with an adorable umbrella!

Ah the start of a new school year!  New people, new classes, and NEW CLOTHES!  Back to school clothes shopping is always a fun way to take your mind off the school work ahead.  Purchasing staple pieces for back-to-school wear is essential in creating the perfect wardrobe!  Check out my key pieces to create your dream outfits for this fall.

1. Army Jacket: This jacket can be worn with almost anything! Throw it on over a dress to make it more casual or dress it up with a scarf and boots. It’s the simplest thrown on, throw off jacket!


2. Rain Boots: Fall is a season of rain and snow. Having a pair of rain boots on hand is perfect for those days! Try wearing a pair of tall socks under your boots for cold, snowy days!


3. Tans and Browns: Fall is the perfect time to break out your tan and brown clothing. Not to mention, it matches EVERYTHING! It’s important to have a few tan/brown sweaters and tees to throw on with any outfit.


4. Riding Boots: Class up any outfit with a pair of these!


5. Vests: Nothing completes an outfit like a good vest. Try pairing a vest with a button up or sweater to add warmth and style to your outfit. They’re also super cute!


6. Oversized Plaid Shirts: This is the ultimate comfy clothing item. Wear it buttoned up with a pair of distressed jeans or leggings, or wear it open with a tee. Add to the grungy look by throwing on a pair of combat boots and a beanie (for those bad hair days).

I think that rain boots are the most overlooked accessory. Most people don’t even consider wearing rain boots as part of a fashionable ensemble. I think that definitely needs to change! Here are three ways to wear those adorable rubber boots.

1. Combine a navy trench coat with black leggings, grey boot socks, and dark grey rain boots. You could even substitute black rain boots in if you want! This outfit combines subtle tones to create a harmonious, cute ensemble! And you will be comfy cozy.


2. An everyday casual, comfy outfit that utilizes our infamous rain boots is as follows: Dark skinnies, a button up plaid shirt under a cream colored sweater paired with dark tan rain boots  sweater over button up, and dark tan rain boots.


3. If you want a bold, classy look then pair bright red rain boots with a tan trench coat and black skinnies. This look reminds me of something you would wear in London or Paris. J
