Fourth of July is the perfect day for boating, barbeques, and celebrating the awesome country we get to call home! It’s also the perfect day for dressing up in your most stylish red, white, and blue gear. This year, I decided to put together a few looks that put a little twist on fourth of July attire.

The first look is the picture on the left. I love this statement jacket that pairs perfectly with a simple outfit! A pair of black shorts and a black tank top is all you need with this jacket. Finish it off with a cute pair of sunglasses and sandals or converse. If you start to feel the heat, roll up your sleeves like she did on the left!

Depending on where you live, it may be too chilly to wear shorts and a cute tank. You may need long sleeves or pants. Depending on what events you’re attending on the fourth will determine how festive you’re going to dress. If you’re attending a theme party, why not go all out and get a fun pair of fourth of July leggings?! If you’re just hanging out with friends, try a flag sweater like the one on the right to pair with some jean shorts.

Adidas has always been known as a sporty, workout brand offering lots of different exercise attire. Recently, people on Tumblr, Instagram, and other social medias have broadcasted the fashionable, street-style side of Adidas. Most either know one side or the other, so here’s a little insight on both sides of the brand!

Let’s start with the side Adidas is known for. Ever since 1949, Adidas has been creating workout and exercise clothing for decades. If you want a pair of shoes, Adidas has anything from soccer to basketball to running shoes. As far as apparel goes, tanks, leggings, shorts, etc. are patterned and unique.

Considering the fashionable side of Adidas, the picture above and to the left are perfect examples of stylish Adidas attire! Retro sweatshirts, t-shirts, and especially jackets are the new trend. They even offer retro-styled shoes that are spreading throughout social media. Pacsun and other stores even sell shirts and other clothing with the Adidas logo, so check it out! This is a perfect example of “street style” which is comfy but trendy. (What’s better than that?)

Pack the Perfect Carry-on Bag

Pack the Perfect Carry-on Bag

        Traveling is one of my favorite things to do, but being on a plane for hours at a time can get boring.  You’re so excited to get to your destination that time seems to barely move!  The key to an easy and entertaining flight is packing the perfect carry-on bag.  Check out my list below!

• Magazines or a good book:  Get lost in a book and the time will fly!


• Music player and headphones:  Whether it’s your iPhone or an mp3 player, having music is a must!  Try downloading some new songs before you hit the airport!


• Snacks:  Not all airlines serve snacks during your flight.  Don’t starve yourself by refusing to buy that $10 pack of peanuts they sell on the plane.  Instead, pack a variety of quick and easy snacks to keep you satisfied the whole flight long.


• A jacket:  Most airplanes are set at a cool temperature since guests have to sit so close together.  Be sure to pack a jacket so you’re not freezing mid-air.


• Chap Stick:  The air in most airplane cabins is cool and dry.  Trust me, you’ll be glad you brought this with you.


• Neck pillow:  If you have a little extra room in your bag, try bringing a neck pillow.  It will make sleeping on the plane so much more comfortable.  Don’t expect the airline to supply you with a pillow and blanket!

            This winter is all about the perfect coat.  Since most of your fashionable outfits are unfortunately covered up by your heavy cold weather outerwear, sporting the perfect coat is essential!  So do you choose to wear an old time favorite such as the pea coat, or do you go a little more edgy and rock a grungy army coat?  Let’s check out all of this season’s hottest styles!

            Pea coats are an old time classic that will never go out of style.  They come in almost every color and can be long or short.  You can easily throw on a pea coat with just about any outfit, or wear it with a dress and tights for a night out on the town.  One of this season’s cutest coats is a pea coat peplum jacket!  It’s a new twist on the timeless look.  It really puts a girly flair on the already feminine jacket.  Boost your pea coat style by trying out a pea coat peplum.  You can’t go wrong with peplums!

            Another one of my favorite trends right now is army!  Try an over-sized army green grunge coat this season.  It’s the perfect jacket to throw on anytime.  It can be perfectly paired with combat boots and a beanie, or simply styled with jeans and a black tee.  Unlike the pea coat, this jacket isn’t meant to be worn out to nicer occasions.  It’s definitely got that “street style” flare!  Whether you’re a girly girl, grungy street style seeker, or a little bit of both, there’s a coat out there for you!  Don’t let the cold get in your way… be stylish all winter long!
