Sometimes you try something new with your hair and end up loving it.  Other times, taking a risk with your hair can be something you regret!  Depending on the person, they can love or hate their bangs.  Or maybe they simply get tired of them!  I know they can take a while to grow out, so here are a few hairstyles for hiding your bangs!

When it comes to bangs, braids can be your best friend.  There are so many different styles of braids that will help hide your bangs and are also super stylish!  If you want to keep it simple, French braiding your bangs and bobby pinning them on the side of your head is an easy solution.  One of my favorite looks is the braided topknot like the picture on the left.  As long as you can master the look, it turns out super cute!

If you haven’t invested in any accessories, then you should start!  Hats and headbands are perfect for hiding bangs (and for fixing a bad hair day!).  Purchase a few that you can switch up with different outfits and you’re good to go!

Another quick way to style your bangs is by drying your hair a certain way.  Training your part to go the opposite way can be hard, but by doing this you can master the flipped hairstyle.  This will allow your bangs to blend with your hair better along with using some product to seal the deal.

You may or may not have heard of the newest ice roller beauty trend.  If you haven’t, well then you’re in for a treat!  I’ve always heard that ice and coolness can help certain aspects of your skin such as dark circles, wrinkles, etc.  Here’s a little insight on why you should try it out for yourself!

As I’ve said already, applying ice to breakouts, morning under-eye bags, etc. can reduce redness and swelling.  So with that being said, I was super intrigued when I first heard about ice rollers.  It’s described as an inexpensive cooling therapy for your skin that is proven to result in many noticeable benefits!  Applying the coolness of an ice roller increases blood flow, which reduces redness, inflammation, and tightens your skin.

If you break it down, it’s actually a very simple product.  Ice rollers are either filled with gel or water and kept in the freezer to maintain their temperature.  They have many short and long term benefits including wrinkle and pore reduction and minimizing puffy morning eyes!  Some are as cheap as $15 while others can creep up to $70 or $80!

Ice rollers are a much bigger product in Asia and Europe than they are in America, but they are starting to make their debut!  Buy one and watch the magic happen for yourself!

Research shows that sunscreen can benefit your skin by wearing it every day, not just when you’re at the pool. There are tons of different everyday sunscreens whether your skin is oily, dry, sensitive, etc. You may only be outside for 5 minutes, but sunscreen can benefit your skin in more ways than just protecting you from harmful rays!

1. For sensitive skin, Clinique offers a mineral sunscreen that is fragrance free and less irritating than other sunscreens. You won’t have to worry about breaking out or having a negative reaction when putting sunscreen on your face.


2. For oily skin, Neutrogena has a dry-touch sunscreen that is oil-free and won’t clog your pores. It’s lightweight and leaves you with a clean finish. As long as you find an oil-free product, you should be set!


3. If you rely on organic skincare, Coola has the perfect products for you. All of their products are eco-conscious and prevent harm to your skin and the environment!  


4. For dry skin, find a sunscreen that is considered a moisturizer, too. This way you can tackle both dry skin and protection from the sun!

As most of you know, I recently attended Beautycon LA in July. It was such a fun weekend and definitely the best Beautycon I have ever experienced! Every time we go to one of these events, we come home with lots of goodies such as makeup and face products. This past trip, my goodie bag had a Face & Body Brush by My Life My Shop in it. I wanted to give a little review of this awesome product! 

Once you receive the product, you’ll find four different attachments for the brush. Each one has a different purpose. The first one is a cleansing facial brush and the second is an exfoliating facial brush. You have to be gentle with your skin while using them both. Using either of them too much can hurt your skin, so make sure to use them gently, especially the exfoliating brush (and especially if you have sensitive skin!). If you do so, your skin will look fab! The amount of acne on my face started to decrease, especially surface acne. It really works! As for the other two attachments, one is a pumice stone and the other is a body brush. Both are perfect for pampering and polishing your body. You can use it in the shower without worrying about it getting damaged by water. You’ll have to try it out for yourself!

Walking through a makeup store and seeing foundation for $30.00 isn’t appealing to most people.  I mean, why buy that foundation when you can buy a different foundation for $8.00 somewhere else?  The truth is that the price of the makeup doesn’t mean anything; it’s the formula you should be looking at.  Inexpensive makeup doesn’t always mean you’re getting a lesser quality of makeup, you’re just getting more bang for your buck!

When shopping for makeup, the more expensive something is doesn’t always mean it’s better; although you usually get what you paid for.  Most high-end makeup stores offer products that are safe for all skin types and are not made with foreign chemicals; but this doesn’t mean you can’t find these types of makeup at other department stores.  Brands like L’Oreal, Neutrogena, and NYX offer good quality makeup for a fair price.  Next time you buy makeup, check out the ingredients, not the price.  If it is free of irritants (alcohol, menthol, oils), then you are most likely getting a good product.  Never settle for makeup just because it is cheap!

Spending less doesn’t hurt your skin and spending more doesn’t always help it.  What matters is that you are using good makeup.  The benefits of good makeup will soon pay off for your skin.
