Sunday afternoons after church are the ultimate lazy day, especially when it is cold and rainy or snowy. It is the end of the weekend, and after a long week at school all I want to do is take a nap! But, in order to get the most out of the week ahead, there are a few things you can do on your Sunday afternoon. I love feeling prepared for the upcoming week because it helps me know everything I have going on and makes me feel in control! Here are 5 things that are helpful to do on Sundays that will prepare you for a productive week and put your mind at ease.

  1. Set weekly goals: Do you have important tasks or goals for your week? Write them down so you can feel accomplished when you cross them off! They can be simple things like “do 2 loads of laundry” or even “write blog post for website” ;).
  2. Clean up: Starting your week off with clean sheets on your bed, a clean room, and a clean bathroom does wonders. Feeling clean and clutter free is an awesome feeling, and one of the best things ever is falling asleep in clean sheets. Hang up your clean clothes and put the dirty ones in a wad on the floor into the hamper!Screen-Shot-2015-02-23-at-3.22.02-PM
  3. Pack up: Get your backpack, purse, and lunch (if you bring your lunch) ready for the morning ahead. Monday mornings are usually rough, so having everything ready to go will get you off to a good start.
  4. Write your daily to-do’s: Because of my crazy work/school schedule, I need to write everything down that is going on so I don’t forget anything. Writing out my daily agenda for the week helps me visualize everything I have going on and plan accordingly.
  5. Outfit plan: Check the weather for the next day and lay out your outfit. If you are feeling adventurous, plan out the next few days as well!
