“Here comes the sun, do do do do…”  That Beetles song has been stuck in my head ever since the start of spring! I, like all of my fellow residents of the Midwest, am so tired of cold and clouds! I am ready for Mr. Sunshine to show his radiant face! One reason I am more than ready for sun and warm weather is because I found a really cool way to make sun tattoos! What is a sun tattoo? It is when you put a sticker on your skin and then spend the day out in the sun and at the end of the day take the sticker off and you have a pale spot in the shape of the sticker! This is a really cool idea because the pale spot stands out against your tan skin, creating a natural “sun tattoo”.chelsea crockett sun tattoo

A super easy way to make a sun tattoo is to put Elmer’s glue on your skin in the shape you want your sun tattoo to be, and then sunbathe for a while! A really important thing to keep in mind, though, is that you always need to put on sun screen before sunbathing. Those rays can be really damaging to your skin and cause premature aging. The sun tattoo will still show up if you use sunblock. When you think you are done sunning, you can wash the glue off!

Soak up the sun, darlings!

XOXO, Chels
