How to Mix Light and Dark Outfit Shades

We all know that black and white are the chicest of all color combos.  It’s the ultimate mix between light and dark shades and will never go out of style!  Some color combinations can be tricky and look misplaced if not paired with the right color!  It’s important to contrast correctly and when done right…it looks amazing!Chelsea Crockett- emerald green and tan outfit

Pastel shades are absolutely perfect for the upcoming spring season, but wearing too many light colors can wash a person out (especially since bronzed summer skin hasn’t arrived yet).  Pastel blue and pink look amazing paired with a dark charcoal grey!  Try dark grey skinny’s with a pastel sweater, blouse, or jacket!

Another one of my favorite color combos are emerald green and light tan/cream.  The green will bring out more brownish tone of the tan, while still keeping it subtle.  It’s a great way to wear a bold color without going overboard!  Try this with dark teal and heather grey as well!

Don’t be afraid to mix light and dark colors.  It can be done during any season and always looks high fashion!

XOXO,

Chelsea
