Fall Fashion Must-Have: Bean Boots!

Fall Fashion Must-Have: Bean Boots!
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/chelsea-crockett-bean-boots-.jpg

Have you ever heard of “Bean Boots”? They are adorable, preppy boots that keep your toes toasty warm in the cold weather. There are a few fashion trends that incorporate these toasty warm booties that you just cannot ignore this fall. Here is how to rock Bean Boots!

  1. Dress ‘em up: If you are a lassie that likes to dress it up, I have an idea for you. Pair your Bean Boots with dark tights, a grey wool skirt, wool socks, a simple striped shirt and a camel pea coat! I absolutely love how this outfit looks with all of the pieces put together, the Bean Boots adding a little gritty flare to an otherwise preppy outfit.bean boots

  2. Keep it simple: Layer a simple flannel shirt with a vest, dark skinnies, and wool socks peeking out from your boots. This look has a woodsy flare that I love.bean boots 1

  3. Keep it cozy: Grab some black leggings, an oversized sweater, and some warm wool socks. This is the perfect cozy rainy day or snowy day outfit.

Bean Boots are such a cute and classy way to keep those toesies warm this winter. Check ‘em out!

Crazy for Collars

Crazy for Collars
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/chelsea-crockett-crazy-for-collars.jpg

As we all know, layering is a must in autumn and winter. Why not have fun with it? I love the look of collars. They add a preppy flare to any ensemble. There are so many kinds of collars, too! Here are a few outfits that combine collars with other cute fall fashion staples.collars

  1. With a simple blazer: I love this cool, classy look. Pair a simple white button up collared shirt with a simple blazer, such as a navy or grey blazer. Button the shirt all the way up to the top so that all of the buttons are buttoned and the collar is displayed. Add in a long simple necklace, skinnies and booties!

  2. With a cable knit sweater: This is the perfect preppy look. Layer a cable knit sweater over a white collared shirt for an easy, classy look! Add in a pair of riding boots and wayfarer sunglasses and you will be the most preppy lady on the block!

  3. Dressy: I love sequins. Anything that sparkles is totally my fav. That is why I love this sequin collar trend! You can dress it down and wear it to school with a pair of skinnies and flats, or you can dress it up with a blazer and wedges! Love love!

How will YOU be wearing collars and keeping it preppy this fall? Comment below and let me know!

Oxblood: Master the Trend

Oxblood: Master the Trend
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/chelsea-crockett-oxblood-trend-.jpg

Fall colors are my favorite. They are so comforting and chic. My favorite fall shade is oxblood, a darker hue of burgundy. It is so mysterious and classy. Here is how I am incorporating oxblood into my fall wardrobe!oxblood 1

Lips: Dark burgundy lips are very “in” this season. They make you look mature and mysterious! Pair them with light or crème clothing for an outfit with fabulous contrast.

Nails: I am currently rocking oxblood nails! I love the pop of sassy color that the color adds to my nails. It is simple enough that it goes with any outfit I wear!

Accessories: Scarves, boots, hats, handbags, all of these items in the “oxblood” shade. Toss these accessories in to your fall ensembles for a classy pop of color.

Clothing: I love burgundy jeans, sweaters, shirts, all that jazz! Pair oxblood jeans with a crème blouse and booties for a simple fall outfit.

What is your favorite way to rock oxblood? Comment below!

3 Ways to Layer Sweaters

3 Ways to Layer Sweaters
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/3-ways-to-layer-sweaters.jpg

Sweaters are the coziest thing on God’s green earth. In the cold weather months, I practically live in sweaters. One way to switch your sweaters up is to layer them with other shirts or jackets. Here are a few ways to spruce up your sweaters this fall.

  1. Poncho it up: I really like the poncho sweater look. These are so classy and simple! Pair a neutral colored poncho with a long sleeved striped shirt. To complete the look, add in a pair of leggings with boot socks and riding boots!sweater poncho

  2. Frills: I have rocked this look multiple times already this fall! I love the subtle girly flare that it gives off. If you want to add a little bit of edge to the outfit, add in a pair of black combat boots!sweater frilly

  3. Preppy: I have mentioned this trend multiple times before, but it is just too good not to bring up! Layer a button up under a sweater for a classy, preppy look. The button up can be in any pattern you please.

Now go pull on a sweater and cook cute as can be!

How to Wear a Beanie

How to Wear a Beanie
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/chelsea-crockett-how-to-wear-a-beanie.jpg

How to wear a beanie may seem like a simple question, and it really is! Just shove it on your head and you’re good to go, right? Not always. There are so many different styles of beanies and there are so many looks that you can create with them! Here are my favorite styles this season.

  1. The original: Do you have a basic beanie? The easiest way to rock it is over your forehead and on a downward angle to thetumblr_md8ibd1yWR1qboqbv back of your head covering your ears. This style is simple and fuss-free, plus it will keep you totally toasty! Pair your beanie with a white v-neck and dark jeans with combat boots.

  2. With a braid: If you prefer your hair pulled back in some kind of way when you are wearing your beanie, then this style is for you. Try a loose braid with your beanie! This style is really useful on windy days

  3. With bangs: If you have bangs, then there are plenty of styling options with your beanie. If you have full bangs just wear the beanie a bit further back on your head so your bangs aren’t flat on your forehead. You can also wear your bangs sweeping to the side and peeking out for the front of the beanie.

  4. Make a statement: Wear a super bright colored beanie or one with a fun pattern! Making a statement is always fun!

I love finding new ways to wear my beanies! What is your favorite way to wear them?

XOXO, Chels

Fall Wardrobe Must-Haves

Fall Wardrobe Must-Haves
http://www.chelseacrockett.com/wp/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/chelsea-crockett-fall-wardrobe-must-haves.jpg

There are a few things that every girl needs to be a fall fashionista. They make or break your cool-weather wardrobe and ensure that you will ALWAYS have something cute to wear when the weather gets chilly. Here are 6 items that your fall wardrobe cannot do without:

  1. Wrapped sweater: This kind of sweater is perfect because it is cozy and warm and super stylish. I love to pair it with a pairtory burch selma riding boot almond of riding boots and dark skinnies!

  2. Black jeans: Black jeans are so chic and versatile. They can be worn in both casual and dressy situations. I love pairing my black skinnies with everything from a jean button up and infinity scarf to a cute flannel and combat boots.

  3. White V-neck: White V-necks go great under sweaters and army jackets! Toss on a pair of distressed skinny jeans and combat boots to complete the look.

  4. Riding boots: Ugh. I love riding boots. They are so classy and make any outfit look so put-together! I like wearing my riding boots with a white button up with the sleeves rolled just a little bit with dark skinnies and a statement watch.

  5. Flowey blouse: Everyone has their favorite flowey blouse that they wish they could wear every day! Grab one in a fall color like dark purple or crimson.

  6. Stripped shirt: Striped shirts are the perfect mix of classy, nautical, and preppy. Wear them under a sweater or army jacket or just rock em by themselves with a pair of dark skinnies!

Fall fashion is my favorite thing on the planet because I love to layer and I love boots and scarves and just everything about it! What is YOUR favorite thing about fall fashion?

XOXO, Chels
