New Year’s Eve is the one holiday you can go above and beyond with your makeup.  You can rock as much sparkle and glitter as you want since you’ll be ringing in the new year all night long!  In case you wanted to try something new this holiday, here are 3 makeup looks that are perfect for the night ahead!

Gold – If you want your look to focus more on gold tones, try out a look like the one on the right!  Doing a smoky eye with brown shades will create the perfect base to add some gold sparkle.  Fill in your eyebrows and add a maroon lip to seal the deal!

Silver – If your outfit calls for a silver makeup look, focus on black and grey tones.  Since theses shades are darker, I suggest using black only on the outer parts of your lid.  You don’t want to use too many dark shades especially if you normally don’t wear a lot of eyeshadow.  Add a shimmer silver shade over your base.  (You can even add some blue tones to compliment the grey!)

Nude – Maybe you’re not into all of the sparkle and glitter and want to keep it a little simpler.  Pick a couple eye shadows that are more matte rather than shimmer.  You can do a light smoky eye paired with a matte lipstick!  Keep it simple but still complimenting your outfit.

New Year’s Eve is hands down the most fun night of the year!  Whether you party it up with your friends or kick it with your family, it’s always fun to ring in the new year.  Despite the festivities, you’ll need a fashionable outfit to kick off 2017!  Here are some things you need to know about the hottest NYE trends!

• Go gold.  Gold and silver are two colors that come to mind when I think of NYE.  This year, gold is the color to rock!


• Velvet.  Velvet is one of the cutest (and comfiest) trends this year.  Velvet shirts, velvet dresses, velvet jackets, velvet everything!  The picture on the right is both stylish and casual for the night.  You can dress it up or dress it down!


• Glitter strobing/highlight.  If you’ve never heard of glitter strobing, it’s fun to try out for New Year’s Eve!  If you look online, you can find out how to do it yourself.  Why not add a little extra bling to celebrate the night?


• All black everything.  All black everything is a timeless look that anyone can pull off!  Once again, this is a look you can dress up or dress down according to what you have planned!


• Metallic.  New Year’s Eve has no limitations when it comes to your outfit.  Rock a pair of metallic pants or a metallic jacket!

Pandora is my go-to store for all things jewelry. Not only is their selection amazing, but their prices are affordable and reasonable. In my opinion, rings are totally underrated. Necklaces and bracelets seem to be the main focus of accessory talk. To switch things up, I thought I"d highlight the different styles and colors of Pandora rings you can check out for yourself!

Most of their rings that are on the affordable side are only about $45-$90! They make for a perfect gift… or a nice treat for yourself :). You can pick from gold, two tone, silver, white gold, or Pandora rose metal. You can also choose from several different colors of stones from blue to pink or red to green. The rings on the left are examples of the Pandora rose metal with a heart stone or the love ring! How cute are those? Especially with Valentine’s Day right around the corner, they’re the perfect gift to put in your crush’s head! They have simple rings without a stone or rings with lots of bling. You pick! Some of the rings you can even layer for a more complex look. The possibilities are endless.

Keeping time is more fashionable now than ever.  Watches are in!  Whether you are attracted to bling or plain leather, watches are a fashion statement.  Some of my favorite looks are chunky, gold watches with a little bling such as the one on the right. Michael Kors, Marc Jacobs, and many others have thick, gold band watches that are to die for!  The best way to get them affordably, is to keep an eye on eBay or Amazon!

Other looks that you might prefer are rose gold and silver.  Both of these metals are trendy, stylish, and go with just about any outfit.  These wrist watches are shiny without too much bling.  They usually look much more expensive than they really are (which is always a steal!).  You can pair your watch with the same colored jewelry to make it all go together.  If metals are not what you are looking for, than leather or plastic could be your next choice.

Another alternative, for the sports minded guru is a watch that not only tells time but also gives other important facts like a chronograph and a countdown timer. Many of these watches are waterproof and they offer an alarm and time zone display.  Of course, a girl has to do what a girl has to do and really your best bet is to have a couple of watches that fit your style and need!  Let me know below which kind is your favorite!
