Imagine lying by the pool with a drink in your hand and the sound of ocean waves crashing against the rocks.  Sounds nice, huh?  Well just because you might not have a beach, doesn’t mean you can’t pretend you’re on one!  Try whipping up a few of these fruity concoctions to get your summer going, virgin of course.

Grenadine syrup, a red tinted sweetener, and plenty of flavored juices are essential for the perfect drink!  If you love Fruit Loops, then I’ve got the perfect drink for you!  Mix together 3 ounces of pineapple juice, 2 ounces of orange juice, and one ounce of cranberry juice.  Throw in ½ ounce of grenadine syrup to the mix.  Last, drop in a few cherries and some ice cubes and you’ve got yourself the perfect fruity drink!

If icy drinks are more your style, try a strawberry daiquiri-pina colada mix!  You’ll need to blend each drink separately for starters.  Begin by blending together 1 cup of pineapple chunks, ¼ cup of ice, 1 cup of unsweetened pineapple juice, and 1 cup of coconut milk.  In a separate blender (or you can pour the colada mix into a separate cup and clean your blender) blend together 1 cup of strawberries, ¼ cup of ice, ¾ cup of lemon-lime soda, ¼ cup of sugar, and one tbsp. of lemon juice.  Once finished, swirl the drinks together for a twist on two classic recipes!
