Gel polish is my new favorite! You never have to worry about it chipping and it seems to stay on forever!  Now, the “staying on forever” part is great until you want to take them off.  Normal nail polish remover doesn’t do the trick, so you typically have to go to the salon to get them taken off.  Not everyone has time to make trips to and from the salon, so I’ve got an at-home remedy for getting rid of your gel polish.  Check it out!

What you’ll need:

  • Acetone

  • 10 cotton balls

  • Tinfoil

Begin by soaking the cotton balls in the acetone. Once the cotton balls are completely soaked, place one on each nail and wrap the foil around your nail to secure the cotton ball.  Let the cotton balls sit on your nails for 10 minutes.  Once the 10 minutes is up, remove the foil and cotton balls.  The gel polish should be soft and easy to peel off.  Once the polish is peeled off, file down your nails and you’re good to go!Chelsea Crockett- removing gel nail polish

It’s as easy as that!

XOXO,
