Are there certain traits you HAVE to have in a boyfriend? When you have sleepovers with friends, do you dream about the perfect guy and discuss everything you want him to be? If so, you are the average teenage girl J. I read a recent study about the top traits that women want in the guy they date, and they really aren’t surprising! In fact, most of them were on MY list of traits I want to see in my guy. Here is a list of the top character, personality, and practical skill traits females want in a man.
TOP CHARACTER TRAITS: FAITHFULNESS, DEPENDABILITY, AND KINDNESS
When it comes to the character of your guy, most women say faithfulness is a top priority. Rightflully so! You want to know that he is there for you and only you, and that he will stick with you through the tough times. You also want to know that he is dependable and that when he says he is going to do something, he does it! You want him to be responsible. Lastly, you want him to be kind. I know that it is sometimes tempting to fall for the “tough guy” or “bad boy”, but as you grow up kindness wins. Most girls want a man who will be sweet to her AND her mother!
TOP PERSONALITY TRAITS: SENSE OF HUMOR, PASSION, AND INTELLEGENCE

TOP PRACTICAL SKILLS: LISTENING, ROMANCING, HELPING
Studies have shown that women love a guy who listens. This is a no-brainer! Girls feel safe and loved when a guy will sit there and let them vent and listen to their problems. Romancing is a given, we love a guy who can show his soft side and can sweep her off her feet! And the last one, helping. If he can help me cook a dinner, clean my room, or run errands, he is on the fast track to winning my heart! Who agrees?!
