One of the best things about shopping is finding an item that makes you feel so confident and that you totally love. The bad thing about it is that after a little while, that same item of clothing can become “meh” to you. It doesn’t matter how much you loved the item when you bought it, it is inevitable that over time it will lose its appeal. We all know the feeling of looking into our closet and thinking “I have NOTHING to wear…!”, and it isn’t that we literally have nothing to wear, it is that we got bored with our options. When that feeling hits, it is good to have a few go-to outfits to turn to when everything else feels “blah.” Here are a few no-fail looks for when this happens!

  1. White on white: I love to play with color in my outfits, but sometimes going bold isn’t what you are feeling. Opt for an all-white outfit if you are feeling like you are out of options. It is a nice alternative to all-black, and you are totally okay to toss the “no white after labor day” rule out the door. Some good white combos are white skinny jeans with an over-sized white or cream sweater, or the always-trendy skinny jeans and a white tee.8233211788949221_awdrklyr_f

  2. Rolled jeans and booties: This is a great fall outfit. Cuff the hem of your favorite jeans paired with low-heal booties and wear an oxford shirt, sweater, or create a layered look with a vest or cardigan. This is an effortlessly casual and easy look to toss together.

  3. Skinny jeans and a textured shirt: This look is all about contrast. Jeans may feel too casual for certain settings, but if you pair them with a dressier shirt or blouse with texture like ruffles or fringe then your jeans will automatically look more dressed-up. You could even pair a silk blouse with a nice pair of jeans and booties for a dressier ensemble. Jeans can easily be dressed up or down.

Another quick fix for the “I have nothing to wear” blues is to look up outfit inspiration on Pinterest and focus on photos of people wearing items that you have in your closet. This will help give you ideas on new ways to wear and pair the clothes you already have!
