Ever wanted to dye your hair, but your parents won’t let you?  Or maybe you’re afraid of the potential effects from hair dye?  Well, now you don’t need to worry.  There are many natural ingredients that can help tint your hair into the color you want.

  • Lemon Juice.  If you dribble a little bit of lemon juiceChelsea Crockett - Lemon Juice Hair onto your hair, it lightens it and gives you a tint of blonde highlights.  Especially for brunettes, it will start to look like you have light brown/blonde highlights!  As for blondes, you can simply lighten up your locks with lemon juice!  P.S. This only works if you’re out in the sun!  So, get some sunlight after you apply it to your hair!
  • Black Tea.  Sounds crazy but dying your hair with black tea actually works!  In order to get light brown hair, you have to mix it with a few ingredients.  If you mix together black tea, an eighth of lemon juice, and a teaspoon of olive oil and apply it to your hair, it will give you the hair color you want.  Make sure you soak your hair in it for up to 2 hours!  For a dark brown shade of hair, soak your hair in plain black tea and stay out in the sun for a couple hours!  It’s as simple as that!
  • Kool-Aid.  I know it’s not necessarily a “natural” hair dye, but it does color your hair!  Pick any Kool-Aid flavor and you can simply dye all of your hair or just a chunky strand of it!  Awesome, right?
