We all know what ombre hair is, but have you ever heard of Balayge? They are very similar, but also have some key differences. Want to know which style is right for you? Need to know the deets? Stay tuned!

Balayge: This word literally means “to sweep” in French. This style is defined by sweeping highlights that create anatural, sun kissed look. The highlights are focused on the front of your hair, and gradually sweep to the back. This look is more natural looking than ombre, so if that is your cup of tea then go for it!c6fba2c81ad04adf483f3c33d282a020

Ombre: Ombre is a gradual lightening of the hair, fading from dark near the roots to lighter at the ends. Ombre can be both striking or subtle, it just depends on your preference and the stylist! Just a word of warning, ombre can be a bit rough on your hair because it concentrates the bleach on the ends of your hair, which are already the most damaged part of your hair. If you decide on this style, deep condition your hair regularly!

Have you decided which style is more “you”? If so, comment below!
