How to Become a Morning Person

When your alarm goes off in the morning do you cringe inwardly? Does that buzzing make you want to rip your pillow in half? If this is you, then you are NOT a morning person. Do you wish you were? Here are some tips on how to become a morning person.


  1. Pack on the protein: In every health class you have ever taken, it has been drilled into your skull that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. That is because it is true! Eating a 77c53d7bbca7416642a3ebd0de95813959844bc01ce963fb0d1159b7651b8169healthy breakfast packed with protein gives you lasting energy.

  2. Reward yourself: Rewarding yourself will give you the incentive to actually follow through and wake up early. Reward yourself with an extra 15 minutes of TV or another helping of your favorite snack.

  3. Keep things light: keep your blinds open so that in the morning, when the sun shines in, it wakes you up naturally. We all know how hard it is to sleep with light pouring into the room!

  4. Give yourself a pep talk: At night, before bed, tell yourself that you are going to wake up early in the morning. No “ifs” “ands” or “buts”. And no excuses!

It is said that the early bird gets the worm, so go out there and get your worm!
