Tips For Curly Haired Insiders

How many of you lovely Insiders have naturally curly hair? I ENVY you! Curly hair is so fun and bouncy and flirty. I have some friends with naturally curly hair, and they say that it is actually quite difficult to style it and it takes some effort to get it exactly how you want it, though. So, I did my research, and I came up with a few curly hair tips for all of my curly cued Insiders out there.
- Don’t wash your hair every day! This may take some getting used to. The reason you don’t want to shampoo
every day is because scrubbing and roughing up your cuticles sets you up for major frizz and strips your hair of the natural oils, which are beneficial for all of my curly haired goddesses.
- Use a wide toothed comb to brush your hair when it is damp. Now, I don’t mean BRUSH it out, I mean gently comb it out. A wide toothed comb will detangle your hair while keeping your curls intact.
- Let your hair air dry as long as possible to prevent unnecessary volume and frizz. Blow drying and scrunching your hair can turn it into a frizzy mess, so make sure to use a diffuser if you must blow dry your locks!
Girls with curly hair wish they had straight hair, girls with straight hair wish they had curly hair, and girls with semi curly, semi straight hair wish that it would just make up its mind and pick one! What kind of hair do YOU have? Comment below and let me know!
