When I heard the Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino was soon coming back to Starbucks, I did a little happy dance. Okay a big happy dance. The return of the Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino means the return of fall, and I am so ready for that. The only thing that put a stop to my happy dancing was when I saw how many calories were in one of those puppies. The small has 300 calories, the medium as 460 and a large has 630 calories. Ouch. Not to mention the drinks cost as much as a small house. Okay maybe not that much, but still… Anyway, I found a cheaper, healthier wa

y to get my Pumpkin Frappuccino fix right at home. Here is how!

Ingredients:

  • 1 and 1/2 cups cold coffee, cooled in the refrigerator overnightFrapp

  • 1 and 1/4 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk

  • 1/4 cup pumpkin puree

  • 3 Tablespoons pure maple syrup

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

In a small bowl, whisk the milk, pumpkin, maple syrup, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg together until combined.  Pour into ice cube tray and freeze. Once coffee is cold and pumpkin ice cubes are frozen, add the cubes to your blender and blend on high until smooth and icy. If your cubes aren’t blending well, add milk. Take a quick taste test and add more syrup or spices as needed. Top this yummy treat with whipped cream to finish the job!

I don’t know about you, but I am so excited to try this cheaper, healthier Starbucks alternative! Do you think this sounds totally delicious? Comment below!

XOXO, Chels
