DIY Pumpkin Face Mask!

After a long summer of being in the sun, our skin could use some pampering.  A great way to relax and nurture your skin is with a DIY pumpkin facial mask!  Half a cup of canned pumpkin has 953 mg of vitamin A in it. With its wrinkle-fighting properties and tons of vitamins, this orange fruit soothes and hydrates tired skin.

Chelsea Crockett - Pumpkin Face MaskSome of us are getting older and probably won’t be trick or treating for Halloween.  Wouldn’t it be fun to have some friends over for a mini spa party?  Especially because Halloween is on a Friday this year!  Have your friends bring some snacks, you provide the drinks and the ingredients for the DIY pumpkin mask. Everyone at the party could mix their own pumpkin mask and then apply to their face!  Be sure to snap some pictures because I’m sure you’ll look awesome with pumpkin smeared all over your faces :).

Here is a recipe you could try.  Feel free to look up others online and have fun!  The ingredients you will need are: 2 cups of canned pumpkin, 4 tablespoons of unflavored yogurt, 4 tablespoons of honey, and 1 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice.  Combine ingredients, smooth onto face, and relax for 10 minutes.  Then, rinse off mask with warm water.

If you have another recipe, feel free to share it with me below!

Happy fall! – Chelsea
